Potion Summoner: Able to summon Potions and Cauldrons that cause different effects. Having to learn different concoctions as I level and not just being able to make whatever I want. Being the tank version of this class I would start with a cauldron shield and work to getting armor as well as learning to use potions to increase defense and handle mobs.

Also, What kind of magic using archer rogue?

Nature magic would lean towards like Ranger or something.

Yeah, that's what I meant. A Ranger, who can control trees and animal companions and stuff, who uses a bow and hunting daggers, for long-range, and meelee dps.

All games, at least RPG's have some sort of story line, so it's not so much the question of a story or a game, it's the percentage.

you can go fifty fifty and make something like mabinogi.

Or go seventy thirty, and make something along the lines of D&D.


It all goes down to, how much free will you want in the game, and whether or not you wish to have an underlying story, such as a great evil lord or something.

How would leveling be controlled?

For a planet we could have generic D&D world with castles, towns, dungeons, etc. Probably before things like guns or cars would be invented.

the technomancers, used a mixture of alchemy and somewhat advanced, steam powered machinery to fight monsters...they were rare, let's just say that much.

hmmm, I would assume that the level system would be controlled via experience points similiar to the dungeon crawlers. Each monster would have a set difficulty, as well as a number of experience points, after you complete the quest you get a huge catch of said points. Various actions and jobs would give you points as well...as in going up a level in barbarian because you were delivering bread at an opportune moment.. However we need to come up with an actual point system for the elvesl. We don't want to go to extreme like multiples, but we still need to make the levels seperate enough to prevent easy grinding.
