I'm mostly using MMO terms, but whatever floats your boat.

DPS, Burst Damage, AOE Damage, Tanking, Healing, Buffing, Debuffing, Face, Crafting, Crowd Control, DoT, Ganking, Stealth..

Ahem.

Care to enlighten me on what buffing, debuffing and DPS mean? I'm not exactly used to RPG crypto-jargon...

A) A Master: Defence
B) Proficient: Magic (Potions)
C) Adequate: Strength
D) Poor: Charisma
E) Incapable: Stealth

Jester, I'm pretty sure the group needs a really strong debuffer, would you be capable of creating a Monster King like class that focuses all its skills towards only debilitating foes?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Buffs are boosts that you apply to others like increased attack....DPS= Damage per second, it denotes a character that deals lots of damage

Buffin is increasing your partners parameters

Debuffing is weakening your enemies parameters

and dps is damage per second.

Buffing is when a class applies positive status effects "Buffs"

Such as increasing attack, or defense.

Debuffing is when a class applies negative status effects to mobs (Monsters).

DPS is Damage Per Second.

A class capable of doing high DPS can kill you rather quickly.

Area of Effect Damage.

Face = Guy who handles the Social side of adventuring. Usually the Bard.

Dot is Damage over Time.

I use the term Ganking to refer to suddenly popping out of nowhere and slaughtering something. Sneak Attack, if you will.

And Burst (or Spike) Damage is when a class can do a great deal of damage all at once, but without sustainability.

So, either they one hit kill you or they don't.

You have four or five A's and two B's and you still think you aren't unbalanced?

Improbable.

I encourage a Pyramid style in this.

A single thing the class is awesome at, two things they can do fairly well, three things they can do decently, and a few things they can technically do, and some things they flat out can't.

Well, I don't know how I would rank ALL of those for Phasma Geist...

But, hopefully, they are evened out fairly.

At least, for her class.

Try that, I feel that a strong debuffing class would be right in line with your style.
