Well, more or less, but I want to make sure everyone gets what we're doing.

I'm still considering making this more rules-light..
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

MORE rules-light? If we were anymore rules-light, we'd be remaking New Beginning...

Well, there's the problem with having so many classes with different mechanics.

Some may be less well balanced than others.

It'd honestly be simpler to have:

Class

<Description of class>

List of abilities by level.

1) <stuff>
2) <stuff>
3) <stuff>

“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

So, um...

Basically we just add a description along with the powers listing?

Essentially, yes.

I'll just hold you too making sure that you have some sort of self-imposed stamina or limitations.

If you just keep spamming fireballs all day, I'll take steps.

So, now, how wants to try the Adventure! thing first?

Basically, it'll be more like in the adventure, where there was no real "You have X mana, keep track" sort of thing.

“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

( Like how we should be running Lords of Creation?)

But, um, yeah, that sounds doable.

Ok.

So..

For the adventure.

There's a old fortress near a small hamlet along the border between two countries. However, the two have been at peace for literally centuries, so the fort is rather understaffed by the military.

For the last few days, strange sounds have been heard in the forest surrounding the hamlet. People have gone missing. Normally, a few soldiers from the fortress would be sent out but a recent war has left the fortress with next to no people.

One of the more wealthy townsfolk has sent out a notice to any adventurers who would like to help discover what's happening and, more importantly, find the missing people.

These adventurers are you guys.

I'll participate in this, but I propose that we start the main adventure instead.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Ability descriptions.

I'm making an example.

Sorceress

A female caster class that relies on objects and a familiar to utilize magic.

1) Herbal Knowledge: A Sorceress may spend 1d4 hours searching the nearby plant life to gather herbs that may be used to make a single dose of any of the following: Weak Healing Elixir, Weak Poison (Con) or Mild Infatuation Elixir.
2) Poisoning: A Sorceress may imbue an item with poison, allowing the poison to be used multiple times against anything that touches the item. Requires any Poison.
3) Familiar: A Sorceress may choose a single animal. This choice is permanent and unchangeable. She gains an average specimen of her Familiar as loyal companion. All Familiar Dependent abilities require that her Familiar be alive and within ten feet of her.
4) Herbal Knowledge II: As Herbal Knowledge, except now the Sorceress may make two doses of the Herbal Knowledge Potions. She may also make a single dose of any of the following: Moderate Healing Elixir, Moderate Poison (Con/Str/Dex), Love Potion, Night Vision Salve or Calming Potion.
5) Aspect of Familiar: A Sorceress may take on a minor aspect of her Familiar. This may be a concrete change or some mental differentiation. Examples of this are: The ability to climb like a spider, cat-like claws, eagle vision, elephant-like memory, webbed hands that aid in swimming, etc..

Like so.

Pretty much.

Less book-keeping now, I think.

Depends.
