In this thread, we log in and announce a holiday wherever we are in the world. It would hypothetically create a party atmosphere as people come and leave. In this one, it is the Christmas holiday for this year, created about 23 days early (in Australia, at least), possibly allowing us to celebrate events leading up to it.
 I have never pinned a topic in memory and I do not like the idea of pinning my own, but I may pin this. If anyone has any ideas for a better part of the forum for this to go, feel free to tell me.

Well, you could just get rid of Christmas 2012, and make it a general holiday thread.

That was the original idea, but I decided to change it to this in order to make it unique and so each holiday doesn't become as long and hard to follow as New Beginning. In addition, you can simply search the holiday and year, as opposed to looking through several pages in several topics to find the right one and they can be replied to after a new holiday has come and passed.

On a side note, in New Beginning, we got our powers on the 21st of December this year, which is only a couple of weeks away.

Well, today is the original start date of New Beginning, at least for me. Normally this would be silly, but my last imagined event came true, so who knows? It might be slightly more likely.
 It hasn't struck me, but perhaps it shall when the site's time gets to that point.

Something eventful could of happened though, overall the day was pretty boring. I was expecting there to be some more funny reactions to the "end of the world" from people. When is the next apocalypse we should be expecting?
