Um, so...yeah, I have a question.

Everybody here knows I'm a mythology and legend buff. Well, it kind of annoyed me when I came across articles on Wikipedia classifying the Syrictæ and the Sciritae as being the same.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrict%C3%A6

The title of the page is "Syrictæ", but it details information of the Sciritae.

I would assume that the Sciritae were human-looking, with the exception of the features describing them here: http://www.theoi.com/Phylos/Skiritai.html

INSTEAD: When I look for Sciritae, all I find is THIS:
Syricta

UGH!!! Am I making too much of this?

So are goblins, orcs and ghouls eating corpses.

It has to be there for the sake of my inquiry. I honestly don't think the two are the same.

None of the ones you mentioned are that creepy. However, reptilian people rank at least a nine on the creepy scale.

Well, that's all a matter of opinion, now id'nit? Cause some people think clowns are creepy, while I personally am only creeped-out/frightened/vexed by the satanic and the demonic. Anything otherwise doesn't bother me in the least.

Anyway, what's your call on the two species?

I would say the picture isn't accurate, the biped should only have serpentine legs and a nose.

And just for the sake of being snarky, their both bipeds.

Hehe...

I wish they had a pic like what I'm looking for. Closest I get to somebody with snake nostrils in the place of a normal nose is frackin' Voldemort. Crud, the search for obscure creatures is always cumbersome...

Look for Boreas with snake legs(Literally type in that combination of words in that order) on Google and don't click on anything about alien reptilians. Or just go to Wikipedia's list of reptilian huminoids.

Um, how did you come up with that so quick?

Anyways, I found one that came close to my search. I'll probably have to work on it later using Picnik or something.
