I liked the X-Men Evolution series... Its one of the few that shows rouge absorbing cyclop's power right, She can control. Cyclops can control his power because of an injury, she doesn't absorb the injury so she can controll it.

Rouge comes from mississippi, the same state i live in.

Welp, better bring this one back.

Dunno if I have an absolutely favorite superhuman, but I do rather love Storm (Ororo Munroe). She's beautiful, intelligent and quite capable on her own, while at the same time being very vulnerable. She bears her power with a great deal of responsibility (ie don't get too emotional or everybody passes away and dies in a tornado/hurricane/blizzard/heatwave/whatever). And she's fracking royalty, and was worshiped as a goddess. The story of her life is just so fascinating.

I don't care for Spiderman.

You know who I did love? Amanda Waller. The Wall. Old, fat, grandma who held together the Suicide Squad with nothing but pure willpower and stone cold intimidation. Worked her way up to a prominent position of power despite facing almost literally every disadvantage you can have for advancement in this country, and did it while being a stone cold bad ass.

Then DC ruined her in the last big reboot, something that I will never forgive them for in my life.

Favorites:
Deadpool - Humor, 4th wall bending
Spider-Man - mainly for the versatility of his powers, Peter Parker can sometimes get on my nerves
Flash (Barry Allen) - my favorite super power taken to the extreme and my all time favorite hero, over all.  His only weakness - plot induced stupidity.  I boycotted DC for 5 years after they killed him off in Crisis
non-psycho Azrael (Jean Paul Valley) - hands down the best origin of any hero I've ever seen IMHO.  Like Flash, he can also be completely ganked by PIS
Martian Manhunter - the Swiss Army Knife of super-heroes.  If I could somehow amalgamate him with Spidey... ah the potential.  Again, a frequent victim of PIS
X-man (Nate Grey) - first hero to actually get me stoked about psionics.  When he was fully powered, he totally delivered the goods.  

Least Favorites:
Hawkeye - arrogance is one of my hot buttons and he is up to his eyebrows in it
Green Arrow (Ollie, not Connor) - same reason as Hawkeye.  Plus that excuse for a goattee is visually offensive
Captain America - used to be one of my favorites.  His philosophy about the absolute sanctity of life gets under my skin when he goes on one of his diatribes (although I haven't followed Cap closely in the last 6 years or so, so he may be written differently)

Wish I knew more about comic characters, but I can't really say I know a whole heck of a lot, aside from random panels I've seen on the Google.

That being said, I'm a big fan of Aquaman and Namor the Submariner. Collecting all the pics I could find of them (for SPL's soon-to-come Facebook albums) I discovered that each brings a very interesting perspective to a character type we don't see much of in comics; Aquaman is all honorable and noble (and when he gets mad, it's usually for a just reason), while Namor is arrogant and pompous (and when he gets mad, it's usually for petty personal offenses). And while I wouldn't consider Namor the type I'd be friends with IRL (if that ever were an option), something about him just makes me like him regardless; I guess he's just so absurd in his bravado, that it's endearing (like everybody seems to really love Sheldon from Big Bang theory, due to his incredible social awkwardness). On the other hand, Aquaman is vastly underrated, and the folks who've been writing his stories lately, are really working hard to make his comics fun and exciting, to help repair his image (and I'd say they've done an awesome job, so far.

Of course, I like plenty of others, but I'd like to save them for later posts; for the integrity of the thread and whatnot.

Totally agree with you on Aquaman, Wulf.  I'd like him to get more respect in stories.  I haven't picked up a DC title in several years, so I hope they're doing him justice.

This recent Geoff Johns run was amazing, from what I saw. A new guy is picking him up, but readers have yet to see his work on Aquaman--it comes out some time this year. Still, from what I've read (the new guy did an interview), I have high hopes.
