I could see if it was constructs of deactivated photons, which look black, and are thus referred to as shadow (which is typically how I explain the use of shadow constructs), but even then, he'd have to be able to make constructs, which nobody can yet.

Anywho, I'm rubbing my hands together to build up as much raw power as I can. Hopefully it's only needed as force, not actual damage, because my only real hope of hurting him is if he's lure over some cliff somewhere. Heat and electricity and light? Not so powerful for elemental effect.

We're going to kill a giant Fire beast the size of a large building the same way our kind use to kill mammoths.

Manifesting a giant ball of lead, which should have a high enough melting point to push the Collosus, far enough for him to fall of balance and fall into the casm that we had to make our way accross, hopefully to it's death. Anything else would melt before it could do any daage to it.

We kinda need the heart of the dead colossus to advance our powers and we can't get the heart if it's at the bottom of a chasm.

Then we crush it, under a pile of molten lead, and then feast on it's heart after ripping it out of it's cold lifeless body.

Well, electricity sucks against fire.

Maybe when we get to water or ice, or metal, then I can be original. Til then, I have to use some energy that is most effective.

Unless you have some other strategy in mind...or perhaps I should be the guy to cower behind the rock.

Shock him, he has a body, not entirely made of fire. I mean he even has metal poking into him for you to shock.

I was almost sure he wouldn't be harmed by it, for some reason.

Ah, well, even the really skilled have a day off sometimes.

But ditzy mode is over. Time to make this battle a shocking experience.

And while you shock the chains he'll be distracted enough for me to continue my onslaught on the back of his knees. Once we get him down we'll hit him with everything we've got.
