You are Nadine Hatcher. You are a member of red team, but hopefully not for long. There are a lot of reasons for this betrayal, but first and foremost is that you really don't like anyone on red team and never have. If fact, you don't really like most people. The man standing in front of you right now is one of the exceptions to this.

Him you hate.

You hate Mitt Radcliff. You hate hate hate hate hate hate bossy, yelly, angry, entitled, grabby Mitt Radcliff. You came up here to throw Mitt Radcliff over a balcony.

The King of Noise isn't making that easy, and currently a scream that you think is Aya's is being played in a little invisible bubble surrounding your head. The only way your blocking it out is with an ancient Tibetan meditation technique that you just now realized you were a master of. Being the Genius of Skill comes in handy.

You take a deep breath, and prepare mentally for whats about to happen.

You switch out skilAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, GOD IT HURTS!

You dart forward with a sprinters start, momentarily out of the sound cloud. The King makes a sweeping "come here" gesture and you feel the cloud over take your head. You veer off to his left side. He thinks you're trying to escape the cloud and sends it after you. He doesn't realize what your up to until your in range.

You switch out skills again and bring your hand forward like a knife, catching his belt loop and shearing it off along with that triangle. The weapon flies, and goes tumbling over the side of the balcony. You grin, then feel his hammer blow to the back of your head. You stumble forward and fall onto the ground.

You swap in Muay Thai and lash out with your leg, that horrible sound buzzing in your ear. He'd been coming in to attack again, and is caught completely off guard. He Thuds to the floor beside you.

(Non-existent. Geniuses can only have one particular part of knowledge of their domain in their head at any time, and must swap out. Nadine knows how her own powers work. She also knows hoe Mitt's work.)

(How does Mitt's work exactly? )

(From poking her brain, you know that Mitt is the King of Noise. Not sound, that was the dude with headphones. He deals with discordant sound. A King controls all of his domain within the whole area he's in. So that's the entire jungle sections worth of bird calls he was concentrating into your ears.)

You roll forward, away from the edge, out of the sound cloud and punch him in the head using Jujitsu. God it's satisfying.

He grans his head in pain, but that's all. You can't actually damage him at all. You're both still red. You honestly thought that that the wind girl would be up here.

>Switch to Blue Team? Repeat bashing of previous head?

>Is Amanda not visible within the door frame anymore?

(Nadine knows that the only way to defect is to embrace the hand of an opposing team member and have both parties will it to be so. Amanda is not visible in the door frame. You know she's two doors away, down a flight of stairs, maybe still knocked out.)

(I thought Armand carried her back up to the room right before where the balcony is?)

(She's about halfway up the stairs. You could make it at a run.)

He grins at you, like a taunt that you can't actually bust his lip.

You don't need any skills for what you do next. You grab him and roll off the edge as he screams. You catch yourself. He doesn't. He lands with a heavy thud on the balcony below.

You pull yourself back up and look down.

Mitt is slowly pulling himself up, and looking around. He starts moving his hands around like he's moving sound, then stops, seeming satisfied.

If you go down there, you might be able to finish him off. Just throw him over the edge, then Aya would be safe. But then you look back at the meeting room. There's a funny feeling there. It looks like it's almost inviting you in. You get up and move toward it.

You go in, and the same strange, inviting feeling leads you to the stairwell. You reach the top, and feel a weak breeze rush past you. You look down.

The blue girl from before is about halfway down. Her face is all sweaty, she breathing heavy, grimacing, and somehow managing to point her hand right at you. You're impressed, because her arm is bro-

Wait, no. Yeah. Yeah. You get the distinct impression she has a broken arm.

(Where is Armand relative to the King?)

(Whats that technique where people believe they can heal others through touch by like rubbing their hands together to build up heat and then applying it to the other person?)
>Use that or some medical technique to at least get her bones back in the correct place (If she lets you in any case)

(King is down on the balcony we last left Aya and Armand on.)

You start down the stairs, only to be met with another weak breeze. You hold up your hands and take another step, and get hit with another. "Hey, hey, hey. It's me? From the Stairs? Remember?"

"Yeah." she manages to squeeze out between deep breaths. "Stay away from me."

"Look," you say, stepping forward into another breeze. It actually feels kind of good. You slot in some doctor knowledge and....

Jesus. How the hell is she still conscious?

"You're hurt bad. Let me help you."

"Screw off."

"Seriously, you should not move. It's incredible that your even still alive. I can bandage that up and get you to the heal room, if you let me."

You're so close now. You squat, and extend your hand. Amanda looks at it, then up at you, then back down at it. "She almost laughs. "Your serious? There's no going back, you know? It's permanent."

"Let me help you." Is all you say.

Amanda grabs your hand.

The change is lie something in your very soul is being re written. The Red tack suit your wearing transforms, flows out into a deep, dark blue like the girls shirt. Then the connection is broken, and it's like you've always been on blue team.

Amanda shakes her head. "Dumbass." is all she manages to get out before passing out.

You quickly get to work, slotting in some field medicine to fashion a cruse sling out of a part of her shirt, and some wood from the treasure room. Soon, she's as fit to move as your skills provide.

(How long would it take to get Amanda to the healing room? How long would it take to heal her enough to put up a fight after that? How strong is her wind powers currently?)

(Armand/Aya are down the stairs from the King correct? Whats the chance of him finding them and how beat up does he look?)

(Nadine Knows that the Healing Room is through one of the side doors just up the stairs, 2 rooms down. She's been in there a few times, so she's a pretty good judge of how long it would take. Amanda is going to have to go for hours before she's in any condition to fight.)

(Mitt didn't look too messed up, the dude is built like a brick house. Nadine is honestly kind of surprised she managed to roll him off in the first place. If he goes looking for Aya and Armand, then there are only two places they could be: On the landing leading to the exit, or in the bathroom on that landing. He'll be cautious of the void powers, because Nadine knows that Mitt isn't stupid. On level ground, 2 on 1, you're still not sure who would win that fight. But, if he goes after them you can probably get Amanda into the heal room unmolested.)

(Of course, he might be so pissed that he comes up here after you.)
