(Make his courage (Strength behind his movements) feed off their fear and make their fear grow at the thought of his courage/what he could do to them. This increase in emotion can then protect Armand's movements so that he can escape safely. He courageously goes for the door and they luckily/fearfully move out of the way at just the right time without being any the wiser.)

(Hmm, I like the idea of it. But to effectively scare Phones out of the way, he'd have to notice you coming. Then again, you have what you came for and could just try to escape rather than fight the lot after they get their wits back from the fright. Your call, really.)

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
"I think I can help. You'll have to show yourself for a second, but it might get us out of here." Aya says, shaking.

You consider it. you'd rather not let the four reds in here know anything, but they were going to find you eventually. When they did, you'd have to fight them essentially four on one. If she could do it...

"Alright, let's see what you got." you say.

"Okay. Run at him, and show yourself just before you reach him." She says, nodding at phones.

You do what she says, taking her out of the waltz and taking her hand. Still invisible, still moving, she lifts her arm. A sort of charm bracelet tinkles on her wrist, encircled with tiny shields. You still feel kind of apprehensive about this but that feeling seems to fade away, replace with a gaudy, ballsy sort of confidence. So what if these guys were all stronger than you on paper? When it came down to it, Armand could outrun anything. He would run down, grab Amanda, escape, then they'd meet back up with Arthur and Peter and stomp this place. It was the first day of the rest of the war and Armand was positively pumped for it.

Around him, the reds seemed to change as well. Their looks became more fearful, the moves more cautious and fidgety. Even Phones, stoic by the door, seemed off his game. It was like they knew what Armand knew: that he was better than them, that it was inevitable that blue would win.

"Now!" Aya shouts, and you make a beeline straight for Phones.

You feel around you head for the switch and flip it, just once, a quick on and off causing you to do nothing more than flicker before phones. For good measure, you raised you knife up in a stabbing motion. You may as well have been Freddy Kruger from the look of his face, as he lets out a shrike and flings himself to the side at the sight of you. You don't stop, flinging open the door and dragging the knight out up the stairs as the red team gathers it's wits behind you. You power on up the stairs, feeling all the world like the baddest dude who ever lived. You pull her out of the room as you hear them thunder up the steps. It was a race now to Masada's only exit. You make it to the balcony.

That's when a blue stream to light splits the sky. A shear column of cerulean surging forth from the ground, somewhere far away. You hear something then, a scream. No of fear but rage, coming from above you.

"WHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTT IIIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSS WWWWWIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTHHHHHHHHHHH TTTTTTTTHHHHHAAAAATTTTT RRRRAAACCCKKKKKKEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTT!!!!!!!"

It's so deafening it almost brings you to your knees. You see Aya drop beside you, hands on her ears, mouth open in a silent scream.

When your hearing finally comes back, you can make out two things. A bunch of worried voices in the room you had left behind, and a pair of them drifting up from the landing under you.

"-mn it, what was that? It woke Mitt. You have to get out of here!"

"Can you do anything about that?" You ask, urgently.

"I don't even know what that is." She replies wiping the pain tears from her eyes. You nod, and grab her hand. It was time to leave. You practically drag her to the ladder. The tricky bit was getting her down without breaking stealth mode. But that's wiped from your mind when two people come into view down below. One of them, the blue one, starts ascending quickly while the other, a red dot, intercepts a trumpeter and Judo's him onto the ground.

Re: Domain Game Quest

You're Amanda, and this is a bunch of CRAP!

You fake fight you're way up that huge stairwell against a chick you don't even know, you come out and a beam splits the sky and some dude yells SO LOUDLY you feel like your ears are bleeding. That can only mean Armand got caught. On top of that, those creeps started coming for you the very moment you and her stopped dancing.

Now you have to trust a red to watch you're back while you go up and get killed by a bunch of other reds. This is stupid.

Re: Domain Game Quest

Gentleman Vaultboy
You climb like a monkey, trying to form so sort of exit strategy on the fly.

You think about jumping, cushioning your fall with air. But you can barely do that for yourself, let alone with three or four people. You could try to create a tornado right before everyone smashed into the ground. Sure, it'd throw them like skipping stones OVER the ground instead, but at least it would be a pretty cool ride if you discounted the pain and the dying. It takes a lot of force to arrest someone mid fall, way to much to actually use on a person.

If you could make a sort of parachute, that would be a different story. You could do it safely then.

Your about a halfway up when you her voices. Four voices, none of which you know. You hope one of them isn't that Mitt guy the Red seemed worried about.

One, sing song, seems to win out over the others. "I'm doing it. There is no other choice now. I have to assemble everyone, every agent of the forest. Out troops will arrive and-"

"Will you just blow your horn already!?" interrupts a shrikey female voice.

You hear a horn, one of those hunting horn deals, except magnified by a factor of a lot. This guy sounds like a whole horn section.

Re: Domain Game Quest

You creep up onto the platform and lay flat. You may not be a stealthy as Armand, but about a year of hiding in the jungle has sharpened these particular skills.

4 reds, on the platform, milling about. A guy with wavy lochs is lowering a fancy looking french horn from his lips. Another guy, taller, red headphones hanging around his neck, stands with his eyes closed and head bowed. "They're coming." he says to the wavy haired boy. The horn-blower cracks a smile.

"Of course they are." he says. "All the creeps of the jungle answer the call of the Herald." He actually flourishes. You hat this guy.

Meanwhile, a girl in a flash dress and a bellydancer stare over the railing at your erstwhile ally below. The flashy girl calls down. "Nadine, what the hell do you think your dong?"

"Killed the Blue." comes her voice. That is interesting news to you. "Still in a fighting mood. You know how us fighter types can be."

Flash doesn't notice the condescension in Nadine's voice. "Well, stop it and get up here. We have one more in the base, and your little pet blue took of with him. They're your responsibility now."

You hear a surprised, fearful little sound. Now that it really interesting.

Then you feel a hand wrap around your mouth and pull you back and forth.

(Are we on the same platform as the other Reds? How much more air / other things do we need to be able to glide down?

Now that I think of it, would be nice if we could regroup with that other Red and recruit it)

Re: Domain Game Quest

"He-" you barley have time to get out before he slaps a hand over your mouth and pulls you int a little sway. He Shakes his head and nods to Headphones, who's now looking about confused. He removed his arm and locks elbows with you as you sway back and forth. You see another girl held on his other arm, and she meekly waves to you with her free hand. You wave back, in a strange circling motion that keeps the air circulating and built up. The force behind it is now pretty significant.

(You are on the same platform as the reds, near the trunk while they're closer to the railing. Also, you aren't getting down using wind power unless you can fashion some sort of parachute. Once you reach enough gale force to arrest a falling body, you are also going to fling that body wherever the wind cares to take it.)

"Hey Armand." You say to your trusted partner. "Hey you." you say to the scared looking girl on his other arm. This is what we risked our lives for? you very pointedly DO NOT say out loud.

"Amanda, this is Aya." Armand introduces. "Knight of Heart."

"Hello." adds the girl. You're not impressed.

"She looks more like a princess."

"Thank yo-"

"That's not a complement."

"Hey!" Armand says, taking your attention back. "What do we do? We can't head down the ladder like this."

"Heart powers could solve that problem. Make them suicide, get them to throw themselves over the side. Remember that one time we saw Damien do that? Just TALK a girl into killing herself?" Even you can't help but shudder at the memory.

"That's different, Damien was a Prince." he responds, shuttering at the memory. "Knights can only protect people."

Re: Domain Game Quest

"So anyone want to tell me why a red helped me up the stairs? And why she's judoing monsters?" You ask.

For the first time, you see the new girl smile, more in shock than anything. "Nadine helped you up here? She's alright?" she asks urgently.

"Yeah." you say. Well, that explains that. Not very well, but you now get the gist of the situation. You'd ask or details later. You know, if you cared very much.

"Amanda, what's up with the wind?" Armand asks, and you notice that his shirt is actually sort of rustling. In fact, everything sort of is. You look down at your hand, which you've been moving unconsciously all this time.

oh.

Oh wow.

Holy Crap!

This thing is a beast. You're actually kind of afraid to let it loose. Let's see, your basically on a balcony here. There's guardrails, but you aren't sure they'd do jack. If you let this go, it'll throw everyone off the balcony, including you. If you could find some place to take cover beforehand....

Re: Domain Game Quest

(Nadine is down the latter. All the other reds are currently on the deck above her, talking to her. Nadine is effectively safe, she'd be outside what I can only describe as a "Blast Zone.")

You slowly stand up, pulling Armand and his knight with you along the wall, toward the door.

"Back inside?" He asks.

"Call it a hunch." You reply.

You all slip inside the doorway without your ambient wind being noticed. The Reds are still having it out with the comrade below.
