This time you feel around within the seat of your emotions. You feel a warm energy guiding you to a point, and you think to yourself that introspection has never been this easy before. But then you reach the Point, and everything goes bonkers.
Words flow out, hundreds of them, thousands of them, Millions, BILLIONS, a beautiful cascading tide of words. You can hear yourself speaking, the overflowing words looking to escape, but the speaker is a thousand miles away, across an immeasurable gulf of oration. It is then you feel the Class drop, or perhaps the domain rise? Whatever the case, class and domain connect, crashing to place beside one another as if they here two pieces of the same puzzle. And suddenly you Know yourself! You are the Scholar of Words. You will Learn the Words, Know the Words, Understand the Words, and in understanding, grow strong. This time, you do pass out. You awaken to the girl, staring at you with a huge grin. "So, what are you?" You tell the girl of the revelation you felt, how you know yourself now better than you ever have. She smiles, and helps you to your feet. She's ecstatic. "This is perfect. Exactly as I calculated. You're the key, the missing element to get result I need. Yes! Oh.." But she suddenly realizes that she has neglected something. "I'm sorry," she says, pressing a few buttons on the device on her wrist. It's quite intricate and extends from her palm, all the way to he elbow. "I never asked for your name, did I?" WHAT IS YOUR NAME?

At least it's better than 'Garfield LeChat' or translated 'Garfield the Cat.' My classmates were cracking jokes about the two all week long, so they popped into my head first.

Your name is ARTHUR AARDVARK and you are the SCHOLAR OF WORDS. As the SCHOLAR you gain power the more you learn about domain. Your Domain of WORDS. Combined with your Class, you have the ability to discern the Meaning of the WORDS, and use them to your advantage.
At least, that's what the devise said when she scanned you with it. It all showed up on the little flip up screen on the back of her hand. "Well Arthur, I better tell you what you're in for. You're going to be playing a game. Well, not really a game, more fighting a war. But it's still a game, with a prize and everything. Just, uh, well...." She pause, and shifts her weight from foot to food, nervously. Already you feel your power working, finding yourself able to read between her words and you Know that she is keeping things from you. Terrible things. "Don't hate me for this. I only..." But she is cut off by a blue glow you begin emitting. Her eyes go wide at the sight of it, and she quickly begins digging in the pockets of her coat, searching for something as the light only grows more intense. Finally, she pulls out a device similar to the one she wears and shoves it into your roughly into your hands. "Looks like your number's up." She says urgently. 'Those are a copy of my notes, consult them if you need to know anything. And Arthur," She grabs your face and pulls you toward hers, stopping with your noses just inches apart. Her tired, half-mad eyes bore into yours as she says "Please remember, the right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world." You dissolving now, breaking into partials of blue lights and sinking through the nothing. The last thing you hear before it feels like your pulled inside out is the girl. She's shouting. "I'll sent help, I promise! I never break my promises! I'll send help! DON"T DIE!" Then she's gone, and you know only blackness. CHARACTER CREATION COMPLETE LOADING TUTORIAL... (I think I'll hit the hey for tonight then. I'll continue tomorrow, if you all like. Until then, thoughts? I enjoy feedback.)

I should have gone with Garfield instead... On a more serious note (if you can ever get serious with a character named Arthur Aardvark), it seems interesting so far.

I like this idea, GV, I really do.
I was thinking of doing something like this with some stories I had made in the past, but I think the way you did it was better. Mine would have been more like: If you choose this, go to page __ But, that would work better with a regular book. This way is more suited for online. Great work as the narrator, and a good idea overall.

Some time passes, or maybe not. It's all very strange, being broken down like this. You wait, for a moment and an eternity you wait, and then...
There is a flash of blue light as you condense back together with the feeling of a full body sneeze. You stumble as you feel the ground, real solid ground, underneath you. You almost fall right over onto the boy in front of you. He's young, like you, and wearing a all blue outfit. In his right hand he clutches a strange purple knife, a knife that doesn't appear all there. Your about to say something, when you are bowled over by a strong gust of wind. As you tumble over and over you can barely make out a different girl running up, whirling something over her head. As you some to a stop, the boy catches the girl by the arm. "Hold on, look at what he's wearing." he shouts, pointing at you. You sit up and look down at yourself. Blue, your clothes are different shades of blue now. Like theirs. The Girl looks down at you, then at her companion. "I could be a trick." "I don't think even the reds would try something like this. He came out of a chest, Amanda. Besides, we're color codded." The Girl, Amanda, stares at you for a moment, then says, "You! Stay right there on the ground. What's your name, where did you come from, and if you are a blue, the where the HELL have you been hiding." You grab your head in pain as your power activates, and you can understand the words within the words. Who, how, why, won't trust, can't trust, traitor traitor Traitor TRAITOR >COMMAND?

Word Embodiment: Trust
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

(I'm sorry, you don't appear to be able to utilize your domain in this way. As the Scholar, of you have the power to LEARN and KNOW the Words.)
The girl is getting impatient very quickly. "Well, why don't you say something, huh?" He guilty, guilty of something, coward, ran and hid and hiding still. >COMMAND?

(I'm sorry, you don't appear to be able to utilize your domain in this way. Interpenetrating Command as "Try Diplomacy".)
"Wait, holds on," You say, holding up your hand. "I'm not your enemy, and I don't know what's going on, and..." you stop, as you feel words coming to your lips, and you feel in your heart and mind that they are the Correct words. You say them. "I think I was sent here to help you. I met a girl in a place I'm not sure existed and she told me that I was to fight a war. She said she would send more help, and that" And you can feel it, you know that these words will do it, "The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world." Amanda face goes from suspicious to angry all at once. She advances and pulls you to your feet by the collar. "How do you know Marian?" Do you know where she is? "Amanda!" The boy, having finally regained his voice, walks up and puts his hand on her shoulder. "You know that no one else was around when she said that. Only we heard it." She looks at him, calms, and lets go, crossing her arms and stepping away. "Sorry about her" he says, looking apologetic, "but you know what they say, it's not paranoia if they really are after you. I'm Armand. Armand Irving, that's Amanda. Welcome to blue team. What's your name?" hope...hope...a chance.... >COMMAND?

"Arthur Aardvark." you say, and Amanda lets out a snort of laughter.
"Seriously? Oh, you must have been picked on constantly." "Amanda!" "What?" "Rude!" "O, come off it! That's hilarious." You clear your throat, causing them to turn back to you. "So, what exactly is going on here," you say, finally taking the time to view your surroundings. Your standing in the middle of what looks like an oriental temple. The pool of water in the center has soothing fountains, and light streams in from the whole in the roof. You can see an exit over on the far side of the room, and what appears to be forest outside. You're over on the right side of the room. In front of the big statue in the back is and open chest, and lying near the pool of water is the devise the girl, Marian, gave you earlier. You' must have dropped it when Amanda, what? Blew you over here? "Well, oh, how do I explain this." Says Andrea, looking up at the ceiling. "It's like this, were playing a game, that's just what the angel told us. Red versus Blue, whoever wins get the prize, that's all it said, the prize. 108 of us on each team. This is blue. We're losing." "How badly?" "The enemy team had 130 members." "How many are we?" you ask, feeling a sinking feeling in your gut. "Before you?" Amanda pipes up with forced cheerfulness. "Two." >COMMAND?

You panic and let out the dirtiest stream of words that come to mind. Seriously, if an old grandmother had heard what you just said, she would have died. Armand is a little taken aback, but Amanda claps as you finish, looking at you in awe.
"Oh bravo, that was poetry." You realize that this may not have been the best display in front of your new teammates, and decide that, perhaps, you should try to be optimistic. "Well, numbers like that don't mean anything. After all, a million to one odds succeeds 9 times out of ten. Besides, that girl, Marian, she said she would send more help!" Suddenly, a mocking laugh echos through the room. You all look around, searching for the source, bet the echo is making it hard. Amanda has pulled the thing she was swinging out again, and you recognize, up close, that it's a Yoyo. Armand, though, seems to have vanished. "Unfortunately for you, Marian was crazy." Says an equally mocking voice. "I don't think I've ever met a smarter moron. The nerve of that girl, always creeping around, muttering and acting like a spaz whenever she "Discovered" something. With a seer like that, no wonder we got our asses kicked." That was apparently too much for Amanda, who screams out, "Malcolm, you trash! Come on out so I can kill you. "Kill me? You think you can kill me? Alright, let's have it out, Witch!" A boy drops in through the ceiling, wearing a long red coat, and lands in the little pool of water. It begins to boil at his touch. He looks around the room, a cocky grim plastered on his face. "Jessica is going to reward me in her new world for taking the last of the blues out." >COMMAND
