I figured a thread would make it easier to ask questions and plan your next move. Strategy and discussing what to upgrade could potentially become the majority of the thread. A Comments thread will keep the Quest thread from being cluttered up with stuff like that.
Also, I'm going to list a glossary of terms and concepts. I'll add to them as you discover new ones in game. Player: Any human encountered in the game that has a Class and Domain. Divided into two teams, Red and Blue, with 108 players to a team. Players can fill a number of different rolls. Domain: An aspect of reality that a player has control over. Class: A players class determines how they interact with and utilize their Domain. taken together, Class and Domain form the players Title. Orb: Unit of Experience, dropped by players and Boss Creeps. Can be used to empower a player, base, or weapon. Orb Shard: A fragment of an orb, dropped by normal creeps. Collect 100 to acquire an orb. Creep must be killed by a player to spawn an orb shard. Creep: Automatons that spawn from player held bases and make up the majority of the Red and Blue Armies. Upgradable and customizable. Feral Creeps: Creeps who lose their commander go mad, and begin attacking anything without reason. Afterwards, one of the many treasure dungeons will start spawning these creeps like a base does. Boss Creep: A large, more powerful creep who protects the Creep spawn. Weapon: What a player uses in combat. Has powers that manifest only when used by their Player. Upgradable. Circle: A group of players that compliment one another abilities. Player working with members of their circle have a higher chance of success at everything that they do. Bond: When two or more characters have an emotional attachment, this is called a Bond. Bonds can be both positive and negative things. Bonds based on positive emotions are beneficial, while those based on negative ones are harmful. If you think two characters have the potential to form a bond, place them together and see what happens.

I was wondering if you were going to make more posts, so I was waiting..
Looks interesting and useful.

I'll probably add more as you come across new mechanics. For example, I'll probably add a creep list in somewhere once you can start producing them. Is you can think of anything else that would be useful I'll add that as well.

I'm looking forward to that.
Anyway, a good strategy for now is to talk as much as possible. More words is MOAR DAKKA.

(Make sure you always ask in the COMMENTS thread, never actually in-game)
It's basically a game of choice and strategy. GV provided a storyline, and he sets different choices for us to make; we vote on them, and he chooses which of our choices he will use to continue the story. For example: Bob decides to go outside and get some fresh air. And yet, he's not sure where to go. >PARK >BEACH >DOWNTOWN *Majority chooses >PARK, so the story is narrated for Bob to go to the park.* The outcome can be good or bad, so it's a mix of a game of chance and a strategy game. And the setting is actually a game-within-a-game, which is a pretty fun concept for gameplay.

Also, if we're having a talk with someone and people want to ask three different questions, I'll always try my best to incorporate all the answers.
I want it to be a game someone can just drop in and play. To facilitate this, if someone wants to join in, but dosen't know whats been happening, say so in this thread and I'll give a short summery.

A novel concept here.

This is kind of one of those big decisions, I'd like to get other players input before proceeding.

So, did I do something wrong that made everyone lose interest? If so, please tell me so that I can correct it.

Same here.
Don't fret, your plot, story progression and interest level are just fine.

So, we just recently used the word of power, Traitor. Since it only has one charge, does that mean we can't use it again at all, or is it only one charge per combat encounter?
Also, I've been trying to think up a Circle for Scholar. Something like Scholar who creates the ideas, the Architect who builds the ideas, and then something that uses what was built. An architect of sound would work good with a scholar of words, but maybe an architect of something more odd would be fun to introduce.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
Traitor will recharge after several in-game days.
And it's interesting that you happen to mention an "Of Music...." It was someone I was having trouble coming up with a class for.
