I would enjoy it if you stayed within wealth-by-level.

“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

That seems pretty good, that way people can't stack magic items in unbalanced ways.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

It's so you don't have a first level character with epic level equipment.

It represents how much wealth, both in items and coin, you should have each level.

I was just worried that some level 30 character would grab basically every magic item they could possibly equip.

I think that I would want to try a level 10 character combat at first, but I want to finish my match with Vault.

I am in no rush.

This is an awesome D&D 3.5 class for playing eldritch abominations.

Hey, Zale/Phi - I'm finally making my way over to the arena threads and I perused your conversation on possibly doing some D&D shtick.  I know it's been a year and a day since the last post, but I was wondering if anyone was interested in kicking this thing around a bit.

I'n old school TSR/WotC table-top boneroller, so I have the experience with D&D (1st edition, 3.0, and 3.5), but I must admit that I've never played over a forum before, so I might need the training wheels for a time as regards logistics.  If anyone is interested, pipe up.

As a Pathfinder Aficionado, I wholly approve of the concept of a forum based D&D game. I'm in.

I'm currently nerding over something similar to D&D called Dungeon World which I was talking about over in this Thread.

I think it might work better that D&D for forum posts but we still have the issue of representing dice rolls easily.

Nice thread, Phi.  It actually articulated the dragon's fearsome presence without a single "roll for intimidate check" comment.

Did you write it?

The 16 HP Dragon? No, I just found that during my time looking up a bunch of Dungeon World info.
