If the powers added to the SPL become inactive by default then you won't encounter a problem with the newly added.
For example when someone adds an passive power to the list with some serious cons.

I never considered that.  I had always assumed that once you got the power, you'd get shellacked with whatever cons came with all the powers on the site.  

I much prefer that interpretation, and that being the case, Josh's Power Switchboard seems irrelevant at this point.

Latest power grab - Shelter Summon + Dimensional Room Upgrade - The user can summon the shelter out of nowhere,  then upgrade it with the latest fashions/functions that current technologies allow.  Or anything the user can fathom.   I don't know about youse guys,  but I'd love to chill out in a man-cave that sported ring-like technology (think Halo-Arc architecture).  

Any time you need a break from the world, you can simply relax in an otherworldly haven with all the future amenities a normal, warm-blooded male would require.  Plus, have maintenance-bots attend to every housekeeping need that arises.

Forgive me if I've duplicated an offering already submitted on this thread,  but I feel that this is a critical need that demands refreshing.  Anyone with small children to care for would surely back me up on this meager offering.  A man needs his R&R in order to protect his domain properly.

Interesting combination. I suppose you would be the only one to see that, because the rest of the current forum members have no children. We're all in our late teens or early 20's, with only a few outliers.

Acknowledged.  In any event, I would think that all males would cherish a quintessential mancave in which they could retreat from the world for a time, regardless of any ankle-biters present.  I know I would, even before my little ones graced my life.

Considering the amount of time I log on and geek out with you guys, that would put my internet age at about 17, I think.  

Got another combo I just came across  - Vending + Capsule Transformation.  The vending machine lets you buy whatever you want for 1 penny and if you don't want a house full of vending machines lying around, you can encapsulate them and store them for later.

Not a mind-blowing, earth-shattering combo, I realize, but very practical for the canny consumer.

 It's pragmatic. A worthy down-to-earth combination, in a world of flashy uselessness and overwrought, convoluted facility. Not every useful combo of powers has to be fancy-schmancy.

And your internet age? Oh, yeah, the interwebs has a way of bringing the inner youth out of all of us. Some folks, for the worst (ie the immature loudmouth troll), but for you, certainly the best (ie a fun and active poster, with relevant things to say).
