I weep silently into my cards. Turn 3 Wulf gains one Air Mana and one Fire Mana. Zale gains one Light Mana and two Fire Mana.

 I'm already making Zale cry? Sounds like a positive portent to me!

I wonder...would you think me particularly mean if I blasted your atomies to smithereens with Fire Breath?

Fire Breath would do no damage. Simply attacking would do the trick.

 Kay, thanks. You're right, I had forgotten about the elemental specs.

Mmkay, I'll just attack, then. (That also answers my question about if special attacks are the only ones we can use )

Rawr! Mai draggin bite an scratch yew! Rawr!

Atomie Swarm is destroyed.

(I suppose we subtract over-damage from life points)

Zale's life points drop from 20 to 18.

I play Mystic Fountain.

Turn 4 Wulf gains one Air Mana and one Fire Mana. Zale gains two Fire Mana, and one Water Mana. Draw one card.

Okay...

So now I've drawn a card, but no other creature is on the field to attack or be attacked by. I don't even have enough of the right kind of mana to play the card I just picked up.

What now?

You can attack me directly.

 Excellent.

I do that, then.

Doesn't matter HOW I attack. Just decide which kind of attack will deal the most damage.

Fire Breath uses Fire Mana.

Currently, you'd do precisely 0 damage with it, because you only have 2 Fire Mana. (Or do negative damage somehow.)

Anyway...


Zale's life points drop from 18 to 15.


I summon Hippolyta, Amazon Queen.

Turn 5 Wulf gains one Air Mana and one Fire Mana. Zale gains two Fire Mana, and one Water Mana. Draw one card.

 DARN IT! I'm still not clear on how I go about getting mana from other elements!

Anywho, my Dragon gets into a slap-fight with your Amazon. Direct attack on the Amazon Queen.

It's a draw.

Nothing happens.

Hippolyta, Amazon Queen attacks Hoarder Dragon.

Hippolyta's special effect increases Power by two, Toughness by one.

Fire>Metal damage is doubled.

Hoarder Dragon is slain!

Wulf's Life Points decrease from 20 to 12.

 I concede defeat. I have no other creatures. I keep getting places and objects, which require mana that I don't have, so there's nothing I can do with them.

Good game, for how particularly short it was, post-wise.

But, yeah, in the future, you do need to reduce Hippolyta's attack power. That, or I need to find out a way to gain more mana in elements I did not choose from the start.

 Zaleramancer went through the trouble of making online versions of mythical creature playing/trading cards. We used this thread to play with them, in an attempt to make a fun new game for the forum.
