Location= London Midnight
Objectives= live capture Quarry= spring heeled jack Mission specs= Recently their have been several occurrences of young girls being attacked by a demonic humanoid creature. The witness reports have noted him of being able to leap over several story buildings easily, and run at an incredibly speed. Given this information we suspect that the culprit is spring heeled Jack. His current behavior clearly violates subsection three clause eighty two of the Human creature code. Your mission is to apprehend Jack, and as always keep the public unaware of supernatural activities. In the dark streets of London a lone shadow lurked. Moving as seamlessly and silently as smoke, flowing across the streets searching out prey. He found it in the form of two unsuspecting vicitims.

"So this is England eh, a lot different than dad described it." Ace was sitting perched atop one of the buildings next to a gargoyle looking down on the streets below. "At least the air is nice." breathes in a lungful of smog and sighs. Suddenly his ears twitch, and he looks to the left. Two women are walking down the center of the street, several yards behind them was a shadowy form, slipping in and out of the shadows. Ace's expression suddenly turned serious, as he clicks a communication device on his right ear.
"Bogey detected on thirty second street. Piper prep your solo, preparing to shadow. Over and out." Ace clenches his right hand and recedes into the shadows. his outline suddenly shifts, as wings unfurl from his back. A streak of red takes off into the night.

"Bogey detected on thirty second street. Piper prep your solo, preparing to shadow. Over and out."..
Gereon paused.. Dangerous Solo, Wonderful.. Great. He thought sarcastically. After concentrating for several seconds, The novice piper whistled sharply twice and a vague shimmer appeared before him. It danced and flashed in a riot of vivid colors and abstract shapes. Taking deep breath, Gereon stepped through the newly formed portal... ... and exited through a similar one in a dark ally. The brilliant colors of the portal suddenly disappeared as it collapsed in on itself. He glanced nervously out from the roof of a two story building, waiting to catch a glimpse of the fearsome Jack..

The shadowy figure had flowed directly behind them, towering above them in a shadow form of eight feet, arms thrust to the side with ragged razor like claws at the end of each finger, primed to strike a demonic face glowing with the light of demonic fire. When suddenly a figure grabbed him by the back of it's cloak
"ah, ah, ah, none of that now." Spring heeled Jack whirled around and looked down at him. "Beat it squirt I've got no interest in you." As he said this he swung his clawed hand at the side of Ace's head. Ace blooked it with his right hand grabbed it. His body glowed with the Saint's aura, burning Jack's arm. "Oh really, well I need to ask you a few questions first Spring Heeled Jack." "Hmm, I'd really rather not." At that point jack dissolved into shadows, slipping away from Ace's grip and daring into the night at an incredible speed." "Darn it, well at least he's heading towards the snowman." Ace smirked as he began running after him at a fast pace, just as a fog began to creep in around the area.

"It is a good thing this market is empty." Dajai Djinn-Zetsuei sighed. He lugged his father's silver halo crown out of his bookbag and dropped it heavily on the alley ground. He waved a hand over it.
"Halo specula..." The center of the halo solidified into a scrying screen, allowing him to track the spring-heeled madman as though he had a tracking device on him. Again, he rubbed his hand over the radius of the halo, and talked into it. "He is headed in your direction, Girisha..."

Dajai's voice radios to Girisha and he growls, still unused to this method of communication.
The area around Girisha begins to freeze as he prepares to intercept SHJ. His plan fails though as SHJ springs through his still freezing construct. "Fast....." Turning on full Yeti mode, Girisha attempts to not fall to far behind.

Suddenly Ace looses all traction as he begins sliding across previously dry pavement, as he slides across a street covered in ice, slamming into a building.
"okay, well that's annoying" Ace scrambles to his feet. Ace thrusts his right hand out to the side as a ring of fire encircles him, altering his clothes as he switches to dragon form. He takes a quick second to judge the direction by the formation of the ice, and sprints after him, leaving behind a trail of flames. As he flew Placed talismans on the ground and buildings of the street.

Spring heeled Jack sped through the alley ways at an incredibly speed, flowing through the alley ways like liquid shadows. Glancing over his shoulder he saw that he had lost the priest, but somehow the infernal Ice creature was still following him, along with a quickly advancing veil of ice that covered all of the city in it's wake. Smirking he made a sound halfway in between an outcry of rage, and an insane laugh before vaulting himself towards a building several yards ahead of him. Spinning in midair he repositioned himself and landed feet first into the wall, creating a dent with the impact, before kicking off and Rocketing skyward towards the roof tops.

Phoenix was riding through the air keeping spring heeled jack in his sight to alert Dajai. He noticed the Demonic leaping motion of Jack and knew it was the right time to have Dajai freeze Jack and give them the upper hand. Now Dajai, he is in the alleyway where we want him you can stop him now.

"I see." Dajai responded.
He looked down at the glowing crown again, and noticed that Spring-Heeled Jack was moving at an incredible speed. If he didn't do something, the speedy fiend would be gone within a matter of seconds. And so he reached his hand over the halo and poked the dot indicating Spring-Heeled Jack with his pointer finger. Almost immediately, the fiend stopped mid-air, and tumbled between two buildings at either side, back to the alley floor. "He is immobilized, Phoenix", Dajai spoke matter-of-factly, "He shall remain this way for about ten seconds."

"Darn it Why cant I move!!!!!!!!." THe being of speed and Chaos was suddenly stopped in his tracks hovering several dozen feet above the ground of the street between two buildings that seemed to mock his situation with their Maize like structure barring his exit. Suddenly he fell to the ground, hard, OUt of his peripheral vision he saw that The Ice cretin was encroaching upon his location quickly. ENraged Jack Roared and darted down the street in the opposite direction Leaving behind a large impact in the ground with his every stride more of a glimpse of something seen in the corner of your eye brought on by imagination than a creature.

Girisha raced behind SHJ as the demon raced through the city. Even with his enhanced speed he was falling behind the creature until the demon suddenly stopped in midair.
"Perfect" Girisha said with a grin. He sent a spiral of freezing air towards the demon, even as he was beginning to spring away, and coated him with ice. Knowing that it wouldn't stop SHJ but that it would be enough to slow him down. Girisha took a moment and froze the path behind him before continuing after to harass the demon. Making sure to block off additional exits along the way.

Phoenix took a second to see that Spring Heeled Jack was on the right course before flying over to the piper. He landed beside him and put his hands in claw positions setting them alight with blue flame ready to fight off Jack when he reached them. He listened for sounds of the Demon as he waited.

The mad SHJ bounded hastily, still shaking off some of the ice that Girisha had coated him in, and looked up, pondering why his jumping had been stunted. Shaking the feeling, he saw the marketplace, which provided the only alleyway for about a half-mile.
Might as well chance it, Jack decided. He looked back at Girisha with a manic grin and veered over toward the market. Dajai, who had now knelt just around the corner that led to the alleyway to conceal himself , had noticed that Jack was getting closer and closer to HIS position. He knew he couldn't let Jack see him, or he'd certainly turn in the other direction. And so, he thought of a solution. Immobilize him? No, a poke on the map would only stop him a few seconds. So, he poked his head just behind the corner to see Jack approach, and turned back to the halo. He jammed his finger onto Jack's point on the map, and the spring-heeled fiend fell as though the gravity in his area had just doubled, or tripled. Dajai pressed down hard as he could, and SHJ knew that something must be trying to affect him. "Some witch, or warlock with you?!" he yelled back at Girisha. He stumbled up to his feet, hands and eyes aflame, and proceeded to run, fast only for a human, toward the marketplace. "I have slowed him for as long as my finger remains on his position." Dajai strained. His finger trembled, and his brow was sweating. What was taking them so long?

Girisha slid into the market place and came upon the sight of SHJ straining under a great pressure. He quickly froze the entrance he took into the market place.
Channeling his shamanistic powers, Girisha created a cone of arctic wind around the market place that would allow objects in but hinder and freeze those that tried to move out.

"OKay that should be all of them." Ace said as he placed the last talismans along the wall of a building. I just Hope I made it in time. Ace sped through the Maze of buildings towards the Marketplace at top speed, curving through turns and corners as he went. As he was approaching the Entrance, he saw a large wall of Ice suddenly begin to form across the ground barring access. "Darn it!" Ace Leaped into the air and Cartwheeled into the air rolling through the gap in the ICe just as it closed. As he landed he placed the last talisman on the ground, which immediately shone out a white light as a line stretched out from it connecting 2with the other talismans forming a large circle around the Marketplace. A wall of Light rose from the ground and closed over the area, forming a large barrier of light.

Ice was quickly creeping across the ground encasing everything in it's frozen grasp, and walls of light barred all paths, closing every exit, even the sky. THe KIng of Speed, and Chaos had been trapped. He stood still black flames rippling across his body and a look of pure anger and hatred splayed across his face. "ENOUGH OF THIS" THe flames arched out across the entirety of the Plaza blasting back the members of the team, and knocking Dhajai away from his scrying crown. Free from the extra force of gravity Jack leaped onto the far wall, bounced off, again, and again, each time twice as fast as the last, until he dissapeared, forming a spinning blurr of movement surrounding the Market place, creating a crater in the Ice wherever He hit, along with several long scores from claw strikes ripping and shredding apart the buildings, but he remained trapped.

Dajai cursed in Arabic.
"That hurt." He stumbled to his feet and reached into his shirt pocket. "I had hoped this wouldn't be necessary. But it seems Spring-Heeled Jack is getting a bit restless." He pulled out an archaic talisman, which resembles a compass with points at each end, and no needle. He called its name. "Eye of Djinn." Flames sprang forth from the archaic talisman, accompanied with eerie chantings in the ancient language of the Djinni, Janna. The flames surrounded Dajai, and in a second, he looked down to make sure the transformation was complete. It was. He was an Ifrit. He dodged out now from behind the alley corner, to watch the mad Jack as he ricocheted from wall to wall. He snorted a stream of smoke, and reached forth a hand, magically electrifiying the next spot where Jack landed. Spring-Heeled Jack took the electrical shock, and fell to the ground, more than a little disgruntled. "WHO'S THERE?!" Jack raged, looking to either side. "I am over here." Jack looked at the red-skinned Ifrit Dajai, "You? You don't even look like a real Ifrit. Can you even make fire?" Dajai's face didn't flinch, and he decided he wouldn't dignify the fiend with a response. "Oh, it's that way, then?" Jack huffed, "Then you've got to die, young djinn!" The madman leaped at the Prince of the Djinni, swiping furiously with his own hand-crafted metal claws. But in this form, Dajai could easily withstand being burned or cut. Grabbing the hand that threatened to stab him, Dajai spoke simply, "Invidia...". Again, the chanting of Janna could be heard in the air, and Dajai's body began to glow green. His Ifrit form, combined with the Invidia charm, allowed him to become nearly as fast, and nearly as powerful. With that, the two began their duel. Kick for kick, punch for slash, Dajai would slap him with his spaded tail, and Jack would land a powerful swipe. Fortunately for Dajai, an Ifrit is tougher physically than a normal Djinn. He took advantage of this, grabbing Jack by an oncoming foot, reversing the fiend's kick, and slamming him into a wall across the street. Jack pulled himself from the crater his body left, and yelled defiantly across the street to Dajai, "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT, IFRIT?!" Dajai chuckled to himself, "No, of course not. What fun would that be?"

Phoenix saw how the fight developed. This was very bad he thought. First Jack had increased his speed severalfold to the point where damage of the area simply apeared, then to add to the problem Dajai had turned to an ifrit. Jack was getting madder by the second and probably even more reckless, which meant more risk to the piper. He coated his whole arms in flame and started circling to get better protection range.

Gereon peered out of the web of glamor he had spun to divert unwelcome eyes. From his vantage point on the roof, His sharp eyes easily saw the bright figure of Jack below
Normally, opening a portal would be easy even for the required distance. However, those portals were to move willing people, not a half-insane demon. This would take a higher class of portal. A portal that would take several minutes to open. Sighing, The piper let the glamor web fall as he stood. After taking a deep breath the piper raised the silver pipe to his lips. A subtle melody began to spin around the plaza. It seemed to spin and dance, calling out for others to join it to follow. A flicker began to appear in the midst of the plaza. Hints of otherworldly colors and inhuman shapes danced within it. A few moments He thought, A few moments for the portal to open.
