Nice.

The main conflict of Silent Hill 4: The Room is one I've always considered interesting. Imagine a pair of men facing each other through an open doorway, each standing on one side of a rooms threshold. One wants to go into the room. The other wants to come out. Neither man, however, is willing to move and allow the other passage. Stripped of all the monsters, the twisting spells, the memories, and the heaps of symbolism, that is literally what the plot is. Walter Sullivan is the main character of Silent Hill 4. Not Henry like you might think. Henry is just the protagonist. Whether you realize it or not, the entire game is spent learning about and understanding the villain of the piece. His fears, his motivations, his personality. The world you run through in the game is made up of these things. It's his. I thought that this was pretty novel. Walter is also the only "Human" villain in Silent Hill that I consider the main villain. In all of the other games, the town is the bigger bad. In 4, it's pretty much all Walter all the time.

Interesting. Though, while on the topic of villains, I figure now is as good a time as any to unveil one of the guys I propose as being on the Evolutionist's Stone villain roster.
His whole name is Ari Dex Golden-Manning. He's of Jewish descent, but raised Catholic by his adopted family. Oh, and also he's President of the United States. And on top of that, immortal. And constantly visiting biokinetics for more enhancements. Strength, speed, metabolism, the works. Asidefrom all of that, while he's basically a celeb in public, behind closed doors, he's up to a lot of corrupt and shady deals. Among them, he's gonna get the two-term service clause repealed, meaning he can be pres for the rest of his immortal life, so long as he gets elected over and over. And with the help of corrupt government folks, that is entirely possible. Naturally, though, ESRP will not have nearly as political an overtone as last time, and he'll probably only really come into the picture at or near the end. His celebrity claim is MSNBC contributor Ari Melber.

Even though it is debatable whether he is still a Villain by the end of the show I would say one of the most successful villians in all forms of media would have to be David Xanatos from the animated series Gargoyles. He is the guy tv tropes named the xanatos gambit after.
If somebody doesn't recognize him here is his picture. |

I never really considered Xanatos a good villain since he never posed a threat to the Gargoyles unless he teamed up with another villain or used someone else to do his work for him. Even then his goals were never really evil, just greedy.

Kronos from the Percy Jackson series of books.
He would have destroyed the Gods and taken over the world, and all using the body of Luke. He would have succeeded, had Annabeth not convinced Luke to take control of his body again. It's one of those standard "Remember who you are" things, but with different words. Yeeeeeeerrrsh! |

Azula. Enough said.

I change my vote after watching Inuyasha. I now vote for Naraku because toward the end the only way he lost was that he had to be wished out of existence. He is also an extremely successful antagonist and managed to maintain his status as the main villain through out the entire 538 chapter manga.
I would also really appreciate someones opinion on this. |

Sounds interesting.
Though, I'm curious. Why have you never added an avatar and quote to your profile? Not that it really matters, I'm just wondering.
