I am a horrible Queue keeper...Someone just start an RP. Any RP, I don;t care at this point. I just want an RP where I don't have to determine the events and manipulate the story in any way what so ever.

 Am I the only one distressed by the fact that, of all the 20-something RPs we've completed, most of them have been governed by the random, nonsensical shenanigans of the New Beginning?

I mean, I like New Beginning, but I think we've been focusing on it entirely too much. We haven't really given any of the others a try. I mean, as our first successful RP, it really turned out to be the best one, the most well known to all users, to most commonly used, the easiest to join and play, and all that.

Though, if you look down the line, there's twenty something other RPs that could easily have taken up all our more random and chat-filled NB arcs. And of the total arcs we've done, how many have really been about something? I guess what I'm trying to say is, after this arc, I won't be participating in NB for a while. Whoever else wants to can, I don't want to push it or stir up any contention, but I feel that I've devoted far too much time to that series alone.

It has literally been a saga. Twenty thousand something posts. Longest piece of writing I have ever been part of.

And now, it's time for me to throw myself into something else. Not quite sure what, but something else.

Not that I'll never revisit New Beginning, but I think it'll be a while, after my arc is spent. Which is why I have no intention of going beyond the fifty pages of that thread with this arc. Once that finishes, whether or not the story is done, I'm finished with it. If someone even wants to take over then, they have my full permission and support to try.

So, um...yeah, I guess that's it, then. Carry on, as you were...

Hm...I've been thinking, and I have some new ideas for RPs. Not for new RPs, but ones we've tried in the past.

For example, Evolutionist's Stone and Horror Story.

ESRP: I was contemplating one of two ideas.

The first idea entailed a pseudo-quasi retelling of the original story. The end results of the story (killing off Overlords) remain the same, but the in-between things change to allow for more open roleplay. Similar to the LOC Beta, you could choose any one of a few pre-designed characters. Their abilities remain, but their personalities and actions would be up to you. And you would only dictate your own character, nobody else's. Though, you would also be given the option to introduce new characters, so long as they aren't capable of turning the tide on the good-evil scale.

The second idea entailed something like a 'Days of Futures Past' deal. It would include some of the same characters, but it would take place in the future, relative to the original story idea. It would base mostly around new characters, taking up the mantle of the original supers (who started something of a superhero team, if you guys don't remember). The original supers, though, have been mostly captured or killed, so for the most part, it's the new guys, and references to past events. And there would be a new MAIN Overlord, who's taken over nearly everywhere, not a whole bunch of dispersed ones. Maybe more than one, but one is the true threat, compared to the others.

Horror Story: This, I was thinking, could play out more like a game.

Basically, a group of bookworms walk into a bookstore, and get transported into a horror novel (for a reason I have yet to determine). Though, the curse, or spell or whatever, will not be lifted, reversed, whatever until only one person remains. Meaning that you have to kill each other off, using the various plotlines of the story, to your advantage. Needless to say, when one person dies, you move on to the next book.

So...what do you guys think of either of these ideas? Are they good, or bad, or do you have something you want to add on/take away to help make them better? Ideas most welcome.
