It is, but you'd have to be at least vaguely aware of the premise.

Pokemon lost all their powers, powers only useable by transferring them to humans by touch, etc, so forth...

You can do that, or make a new one; it's up to you.

Just make sure you define what each power does, and don't have too many evolved level Pokemon.

I need to work on that last part myself.
