Re: The Lords Of Creation

GreenDay
I position myself on a large spire of plant matter on the small center island. I begin drawing power from the air around me, then prepare to face the storm. I create rods of rock in the ocean that are meant to ground the lightning. I send a flurry of spores into it, that will try to absorb some of the moisture in it, thus decreasing it's size and severity. I do everything I can to stop it before it can harm any other life-forms.

As the storm nears the island both Aetherian and Orelion stand on the opposite mountains. As it is about to strike they both lapse into a state where the infinite expanse of Aether and the framework of Order is as obvious as day to them. Orelion takes up a few spider silk thin strings of Order and shapes them into a three dimensional hexagonal shape, soon hundreds are geometrically joined together and multiply still. As they touch the storm the raging elements seem to compact into them and settle down into a more natural shape and form. Aetherian sees the glowing expanse of the Aether, as it hums with a strange power as it directs the energy that makes up all of the storm. As the clouds near him he instigates a change in the programming, the clouds suddenly snap back into place as the very energy of the storm is forced to take new form. As the work in tandem the storm is driven off to a few hundred meters away from the island.

Re: The Lords Of Creation

GreenDay
I see that my companions are managing to drive the storm off, and I know I must tap into some of my deeper powers. I close my eyes, and sense the life energy around me. I notice mice scurrying through the brush below. I notice the other 2 beings helping me. I notice a new entity coming to join in the fight. And, I sense the storm. A writhing, pulsating mass of death energy. Something focused on annihilation, something bent on destruction, something with a killing intent, something evil. I shape the energies around me to create a wall of pure life, and benevolence, and power, and being. The storm is pushed back by it, as it is the opposite, and repels it, as death repels life, life repels death. I push it forward, causing all forms of plant and animal life to grow behind it. It destroys what storm it touches, and keeps it away. I cannot push it any further, so I create it, except as a sphere, surrounding the island, to protect it. I can only hold it for so long though, and the storm is so strong.

Re: The Lords Of Creation

As Aetherian watches the Aether his godly senses tell him of this strange sphere of...life? around the island. He must be another god from some far off land come here to see what dwells in this part of the world. Upon this thought Aetherian signals to Orelion and they push farther. Orelion's hexagonal shapes turn octogonal and form into what more chaotic beings who utilize raw energy would think of as a blast, all of a sudden the shapes move into the storm, guiding it's raw power into a more controlled shape. Aetherian forces the energy in the clouds to go to the bottom and surge into what Orelion forms. It starts to rain from the clouds, in a torrential amount but in an oddly eight sided pattern. As Orelion continues to drain the cloud Aetherian notices the strange god of life losing energy quickly, he directs more along the many tiny pathways along the island to keep the shield up.

Re: The Lords Of Creation

I suck more energy from the surrounding area, and push the shield outward. I sense the others causing the cloud to empty itself, but I know we will need more help to end it. I continue to push outward, until I can no more. The shield now extends almost 3 miles off of the East, Which has pushed the storm away considerably. I sense the others sending some power to me, and use this to make the shield more powerful, as some of the storm managed to get through. I permeate the area with a strong presence of life, destroying the part of the storm that made it in. This task is very draining, but I must hold it up for a little bit longer. Suddenly, I sense the storm moving away, towards the South-West. I extend a wall of the shield to block it's path, then encircle it in the shield, dropping the one around the island. I shift the presence of life to within the new field, to try and destroy the storm. We are doing everything we can, but the storm is still strong. I fear it will break free soon, and I wait for the approach of others in anxiety.

Re: The Lords Of Creation

As the Life god shifts his energy to try and eradicate the storm Aetherian and Orelion focus on destroying it at the root. This storm is only a huge energetic reaction guiding matter, Aetherian thought. He looked at the Aether again and saw how it directed the different parts of energy into place resulting in this catastrophe. He took a large portiom of the Aether permeating the storm and shifted it to decrease the energy of the storm and guide it away from the island. Orelion changed the pattern of the shapes appearing to move to the south and form thin bar like structures overlapping each other until a wall of the shapes formed. Any storm that passes through would be drained of water and put into a normal air pattern.

As I arrive I see the others have already begun to combat the storm. With no real abilities to combat the storm, I make myself useful by sending out arcs of white energy. The energy I give off flows into the others and boosts thier own powers.

suddenly I feel the sudden urge to sneeze....was someone just talking about me....Oh well.

Jester: "Hey "actual name" I've got a job for you to do."

"Argh not again, what is it this time."

Jester: "Quiet, I need you to disperce a giant storm cloud for me."

"What."

Jester: "THe Giant floating mass of darkness to your left."

"I know what it is, I'm just not sure what you want me to do about it."

Jester: "Your a god of creation and destruction, you'll think of somehting. Now go."

"Great." I summon a giant metal pole roughly thirty feet long and two feet thick before heading off towards the storm."

The Omni is pleased by the actions of the godlings. They acted with haste to protect their chosen domains from the monstrous storm that still raged.

However.. The actions of the Jester disturb the Omni for an undiscernable reason. The infinite wisdom of the Omni reaches forth to discover why. The very essence of the Jester is seen and found.. lacking. Though he acts well within the domain of his power, he seems to hold that very power for granted. The Omni is perturbed by this, and arrives at an appropriate judgment. .

Until the Jester learns to take his power seriously, he shall gain no more divine energy from the Omni, save what he gains through the protection of his dominion.

...If you could kill the omni I might actually do it at this point. screw it, guess that means I'll just work as a mercenary then.

I gurnt as  I drive yet another pole deep into the continents crust. "Okay that makes ten,, just another thirty or so to go." I glance back as every other mile gigantic streaks of lightlning ae branching out from the sky striking metalic lines sticking out of the ground, bt luckily nothing else in the area. "I've got to figure out a way to stop this thing but what?"

"Thirty minutes later."

"Okay that should be the last of them." A Large ring of metalic poles are spread across the entire island drawing the lightining towards it's edges and back into the ground, "NOw how the freaking heck am I supposed to stop this thing..........."

Jester "I'm sure you'll think of something."

"Got it, if I can absorb some of the lighting energy back into myself I might just be able to generate enouguh rough power to disperce the clouds with some wind,  but I'll need help, let's see where are the other god's of this world."

Aetherian notices how the strange Jester god stuck the poles in the ground, hoping to draw energy from the storm. I'll have to remove those later, ah well, Aetherian directs the storm's energies into the poles drawing out it's power.

I notice someone else drawing power from the poles as I convert the electrical energy into wind current to tear apart the storm. Great, I'm finally getting some help  I need to figure out what to do to these poles though.

I use the last of my power, along with the help of my companion now that he has returned, to blast pure life force at the heart of it, utterly obliterating a portion of it, and causing the air to seem fresher, and all life greater.

Re: The Lords Of Creation

jester_of_god
no thanks.

I draw on the lighting energy from the stom converting a large portion of it into pure energy, I blast a section of the cloud, vaporizing a large part of it while simultaneously generating a natural wind current which starts slowly causing the clouds to begin to disperce and drift apart, to the west and north. after a while it will eventually become the planets wind system and circulate the continent's weather.

The formerly might storm shook under the assault of the gods. The wicked energy that fueled it was swiftly consuming itself. With a swiftly failing power source, and unending attacks from the mighty deities the storm began to disintegrate. Winds shrieked and died, rain petered away, lightning rumbled and then fell silent.

The clouds broke open to reveal a brilliant sky. The storm was over. The Gods were victorious.

"Ah, that was a lovely display." Uburra-Namall chuckled, "I wonder what the others shall have planned to entertain me tomorrow?"

She sat back in her mountaintop recliner and whipped up some gentle mountain breezes. Oh, what wonders tomorrow would bring...
