The Automaton barely felt the spitball hit his face.

After poking it, he merely tilted a still flaming candle towards his face. The spitball practically vaporized.

Being made of metal had some advantages, after all.

Billy stand shakily, and takes a few sweet moments to compose himself. Finally, when the shaking dies down, he heads off after the headmaster, this time at a more reasonable pace.

The Headmaster leads the students to a large circular room with 16 stations around the edges.

"Alright, here's how this is gonna go. I know some of you already have an idea what school you are gonna train in. The Majority of you however do not. So, we are going to remedy that. You'll be given the means to try a spell from each school to see if you are proficient in it. Don't worry if you fail at most of them. This exercise is meant to see which school you are best suited for."

The head master points to the first station in the room.

"We'll start with a small restoration spell to heal a papercut"

Asoka pulls out her sword a centimetre then cuts herself on it then walks over to try the healing spell. After chanting the incantation, nothing happens then suddenly the scroll her mother sent her earlier lights on fire in her hand.

Asoka: "What? The scroll shouldn't have caught on fire. What did I do wrong?"
