The Kethencian College of Magic RP (Part 3)

[Celadon's Penultimate]

"I did." Wulf looks proudly at his belt, "The Electric Eel Belt. Nice, right?"

[Philote]

"What does it do" Zauber questions "Its not like its very stylish"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"And what do you want? Come to gloat?" came a raspy, papery voice.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 "Well, we can't all have fancy-schmancy baubles and such. But, apparently, it amplifies my electrical spells, and helps with reflexes and whatnot. Pretty sweet, right?"

[Philote]

"It sure seems like you've got it under control more than I have on mine" Zauber replies.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 Wulf looks pleased with himself, "Pure luck, I gotta be honest. Nothing too fancy, definitely. I mean, heck, if it helps me get the job done, I'd wear a clown nose, tutu and combat boots."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"No. All are equal in he house of the pale lord. He doesn't concern himself with judgment of sin, and neither should his acolytes. I've come to ask questions. Where did you come from? Do you have any allies? What is the nature of the Red Eye?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Oh, big hot shot come to interrogate the victim. You think you can get me to spill the beans? Tell me, why should I tell you when I could simply let you be killed with all the others?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

The Headmaster cleared his throat, commanding the attention of the gathered students. He gestured for them to gather close. His voice carried with grim seriousness.

"Students, the attacks both today and earlier this year were unfortunate and tragic. It is clear now that this year has been a dangerous time to learn at our college. If any of you do not feel safe, I encourage you to leave and join again with your families. Dark forces are at work. Forces that may very well strike again. However, if you are brave enough, come with me and we will begin our defense of this college."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy sighed.

"Oh well. I don't know what I expected, I suppose there was no harm in asking. Now, to business."

He walks over to one of the bigger pieces of broken stone, one that seems sturdier then the others, and sets it down next to the hole.

"I need to know how you spell your name."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Oh it's just B-I-T-E-M-E." Kyrse replied with a malicious chuckle.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy had already scratched a single line on the stone before realizing what Kyres had spelled.

"Now come on, Mr. Kyres, if you don't tell me then I'm just going to have to go with my best guess. Didn't you have comrades who would miss you? How are they suppose to find you out here and tell you how badly they killed all of us and also dump alcohol on the grave if it isn't properly labeled?"

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha, I don't think finding me will be much of a problem..." Kyrse chuckled, " K-Y-R-S-E, but you're wasting your time little mage."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy smiles and nods. "Thank you."

He picks up his shovel and carefully set about carving the name.

"What do you mean by 'wasting my time?'" He asks idly, while working on the curve of the R.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"As in, I won't be needing it, you dolt. I don't plan on staying dead. My master needs me and he will give a brand new body for my service to him."

[Philote]

Zauber did not have anywhere to go, he would not be able to get to his home world without another of his species taking him there. Besides.... he did not want to give up on this school yet, he had friends and allies here and he would not leave their side while they still had to fight.

The search for his mage tool would have to wait, he would lead the students after the headmaster if needed.

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

"Well, think of like a weapon: You'd rather have one and not need it, then need one and not have it." He continued absentmindedly, scraping the Rs leg into place. "He must be very powerful, this red eye, if he was able to create something like you."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"HE is the most powerful entity on this planet!" Kyrse cried out, "he created all of us. His chosen acolytes, it is we who will raise him. It is we who will be granted the pleasure of killing you and it was my job to release the others. You will not survive the next week. Because in 5 days the day of our master's awakening will begin."

[Gentleman Vaultboy]

Billy kept making small talk.

"It must be a very exclusive group, these acolytes. I imagine they must be very powerful."

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"They are, more powerful than me even. But you'll see that for yourself soon enough."
