I prefer mythical creatures. Today's society overdoes the use of aliens in fiction, and pays little to no attention to the TRUE nature of the mythical creatures they portray. Kinda turned me off from aliens.

WHD, I mean no offense but it seems to me like your trying to find negative things to say about the Children. They are a species and some of the things you say are possible, but you cant label them all of as bad. Some people kill other people, does that mean mankind is evil? Some people steal, does that mean all of mankind steals? Of course obviously not.

With the Children of the Sun , the woman would maybe unknowingly turned. But in this world the Children of the Sun are wildly know as the other Children. In that world becoming a Child of the Sun is a great honor, also most Children of the Sun are proud and do not try to hide their identity. This leads to almost anyone unexpectedly becoming a Child of the Sun . Also with the female Children of the Sun they are considered equal with male the Children of the Sun. They pair up with each other in long term relationships because they age slower and live longer. Since Children of the Sun adoption agencies dont exist the males try to find a willing bearer of the child.

For the Children of the Moon i find most ridiculous, but you dont know as much about them as I do. They are basically werewolves. They are a little more private about what they are. The  Children of the Moon tend to either marry humans or live with their own kind in the wild. Mostly only Males marry humans so they try to inform their kids about what they are before they start turning into giant wolves. The ones that live in the wild do venture into human towns to mate. Most of them try to inform the female about what would happen if they mate with him. After the kid has been raised by the human female the Child of the Moon is taken into the wild usualy a week before the fifteenth birthday. The kid could choose to come back home at any time and is NOT kidnapped. While in wolf form the Children of the Moon have total control over what they do.

Well with the Children of the Virus yea theres lots of room for corruption. The people who turn into them were basically slaves and were dieing slowly to strengthen the Child of the Virus who infected them. They were transformed, not born. Most of them would rather die than inflict what was once happening to them to someone else. It is possible they could minimize the risk of death to the infected by infecting a great many  so hes taking very minimal amounts of their life force from their infected. But the whole point so they are individuals, they differ greatly in personality.

And another thing is that, I feel like this page is basically me trying to defend The Children from you guys. I feel like the people of superpowers list are trying with all their might to say negative things about The Children. I encourage questions and such but am tired of endlessly defending their humanity and saying their not evil.

Okay fine, I'm sorry on my part for starting it in the must be destroyed post, but we basically do the same thing with any Giant army of super natura/alien creatures bent on controlling the human race, check the what the !)*#Y is a Kystain thread...

Where do the children come from?

What is their origin story?

How did they get to earth?

Did they come from and alien planet or an Alien Dimension?

Can a child of the Virus take over another Child?

Is it possible for a mutation to occur chich would involve the breeds of children becoming mixed, such as women infected with the virus procreating with a child of the sun, then while the baby is developing the origional child of the virus is killed hich makes the women into a child of the virus who is carrying a child of the sun?

um...I wasn't even serious about down-talking the Children. I personally just thought they sounded a bit alien. I don't care for aliens, and so it was a joke. Obviously, these are more than just characters to you, and so for that, I apologize. However, don't feel like you need to justify them to us, either. They are YOUR creations, and so for all intents and purposes, I don't know why you felt like anything we said against them was even valid. Again, though, I sincerely apologize. I know what it's like to have your creations scrutinized, and I realize I must have come off as mean.

Well people I will and am trying to create a couple more kinds of Children. Make sure you read their powers on my profile. Try to share any ideas that will be good Children. I have been busy lately so I didn't have so much time to the post but I'll ke3ep replying to your questions. All will be known in time

maybe you should do elemental powers for the children as well, since you already have sun and night, you could do water fire earth wind etc.

Trust me  really do want to do elemental based Children but its just so, unoriginal. Everybody has already taken all the powers of the elements so I can't publish the Children of the Air or Children of the Fire, even though it would be so cool. The only element no body knows about is the element Spirit. Yes, there is a fifth element, Spirit.

But anyways what I really am trying to aim for is things like Children of the Blood, Children of the Forest, Children of the Ocean. Things like that.

don't forget sound, and youo can always make an orginal idea from a tired concept. Like the children of the earth could be similiar to gnomes and have the mineral absorbing ability. The children of the wind could be masters of disguise, and could move at incredibly fast speeds. The children of fire could maintain an incredibly high body temperture and melt everything they touch.

There is a new species of The Children. They were here the longest as in they existed before the other Children. They are The Children of the Spirit and they are basically ghosts.

To become one you have to die a tragic death at a young age and once that happens to you your soul disconnects to your body. They cannot die and can be ghost forever if they wanted to. They can at will reincarnate into another person but once they die again they become ghost and remember all their past lives.

They can posses people. They can also curse\bind themselves to 7 people at a time. A curse is the exact same thing as a bond except that with a curse the Child of the Spirit plans to drive the person insane or kill them. With a bond its more like friendship or even a relationship. The Child of the Spirit can turn human  for 7 hours at a time and do human things like sleep, eat, ect.

Children of the Spirit can get female humans pregnant by possessing someone while mating or turning human themselves and mating with a human. The result of that is a Child of Magic who can see ghosts and do magic.

The forum is kinda slow now, why don't you guys or gals discuss possible characters?

How about children of air. They can move at extremely fast speeds, and have extreme flexibility and jumpiong capability. If needed they can destabalize themselves and disolve into a cloud of cells that can be born aloft on the winds or move on their own beforee reccombining. They could reproduce through normal means or by impregnating a woman through viral infection by having them breath in their cloud.

children of fire= constantly remain at a very high body temperature, but can raise it enough to spontaneously combust objects when needed. Women are likely to die during pregnancy due to the embrio burning a hole through their bodies.

children of earth= bodies are made up of minerals and as such can injest earth and rock in order to heal themselves. All of them have incredible strength and durability.

children of hatred= Bloodlust is their natural state of mind. They are all  natural fighters from birth and possess adhanced physical capabilities.

children of greed= have the ability to manipulate others and drain their characteristics. Characteristics=intelligence, strength, speed, personality.

children of gluttony= can eat anything, but will never gain any weight. They will gain the characteristics of anything they eat for a short time.

children of sloth= Sap the energy from everything they come in contact with. Including biological energy, heat energy, electrical energy, etc.

children of lust= anyone who sees them become mindless slaves who only dream of pleasing them. One child of lust can lead to a dozen offspring during one attempt at procreation.

children of sorrow= crate a field of depression around themselves that drives away almost all other lifeforms and can be concentrated to break the minds of others. They have mild telepathic abilites and can trick other peoples minds into thinking that they are interacting with something.

children of kings= Can control anything simply by directly ordering them to do something, including inanimate objects.

children of nature= Can converse with and controll all animals and plants, excluding humans, unless they are talented enough.

children of slaughter= their entire body is a bladed weapon, which they can use with great accuracy and speed. They can feed off bood to increase their power for a short time

Children of sight= their eyes have the ultimate vision able to persieve all things, including all light frequencies, spirits, and thoughts.

children of touch= by touching an object they can observe the actions of anything that interacted with it. by touching someone the can send one sensation throughout their entire body, such as burning, freezing, bludgeoning. warmth, etc.
