Rules, Tips and Guidelines

General Forum Rules

1.     Do not taunt, criticize, denounce, or demean someone's beliefs religiously or otherwise and only politely correct them if the said beliefs cause a direct disruption to the forums or site.

2.     Do not demean or taunt someone based on race, sexuality, gender, ethics, or various other things that make up a person's background. We all know that they are equal.

3.     If told to stop or if you are reprimanded for adverse action, be respectful and do not spam. Maybe it will be temporary and you will be forgiven.

4.     If you state a fact, please try to have actual proof and do not make it sound offensive, likewise do not take facts that are real as offensive or rude as there is only trouble stating them if it is intended as rude or innapropriate.

5.     Do not overreact to comments or statements. If you have a problem either contact a moderator or try to politely resolve it if you choose to pursue it, reaction often feeds the fight. This also applies to not taking too much offense at things said in the more random or creative part of the forums.

6.     If something is intended as a joke or if you said something hastily, then make sure people understand you by saying something or using an emoticon to show what you are trying to convey.

7.     If a thread is already made with a similar topic, please do not post it on the forums as it is not only annoying but also redundant.

8.     If there is a lag in the forum while you were posting, several copies of your post may accidentally, appear. Please check and delete any unnecessary posts to preserve forum room.

9.     If you create an account, please try to contribute. The forums are a place for conversing and ideas on a manner of related topics and contributing a decent amount (or trying to) shows that you are interested and someone who people can both trust and talk to. If you are somehow forced to leave or are not able to post, please inform others. Being overly social is not a requirement but it is requested that you post in a contributing manner often enough.

10.   When replying to several people at the same time and on the same thread, try to combine the messages in a single post in order to save thread space (the limit is about 1000 posts per thread; if it is reached, moderators will lock the thread).

11.   Reality comes first. So, as life happens, try to show compassion and empathy for the concerns and needs of others. In other words, don't give them a hard time, or try to make them feel guilty for not posting or responding as fast as you would like them to.

12.   This list of rules is not meant to be comprehensive and only serves as a general guideline, as it's impossible to cover all the cases. It's left to the moderator's discretion to decide if a post should be moved or deleted.

It is probably best that you bookmark the direct Superpower List Forum URL.

While you may be able to access the Forum through the Main Site sometimes, the main site is prone to frequent errors and glitches which can leave you without access to the Forum.

Bookmarking the Forum URL allows you to bypass that inconvenience.

The discussions and RPs are plenty, but the participants are few and far between. Feel free to ask different players what's going on, if you're new to the Forum, or new to a particular RP. If they follow the given rules above, you won't have to worry about being antagonized/bullied/harassed/trolled for not knowing.
