Pokemon Mega Evolutions

A new evolution mechanic that transforms a Pokemon into their Mega forms. The effect is temporary, starting at the beginning of a battle if the Pokemon holds a specific item and ending when its over, where they devolve back into their previous form. The link above has the first six Pokemon to use the technique.

Apparently there is a new pokemon anime in the works more based on the manga and original games.

I don't see how. They say in the games (albeit vaguely) that they make games, not game systems. And just because Nintendo is not mentioned it does not mean they don't exist. And since Game Freak cannot lay claim to Nintendo licensing it is safe to assume,even in the game world a version of Nintendo exists separate from Game Freak.
