not neccessarily I'm simply assuming that it would work due to some obscure relation betweent he positive nuclues and the negative electrons............you know what toss the idea, because the odd's are it might actually increase the attraction by adding a magnetic pull along with the force of gravity......think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think thinkt think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think think tink think think think think think think think think thin think think think think think think think think think, god it! I think. What if the planet crust had a layer several miles thick composed entirely out of a magnetic diamond like structure, which reacted with a core at the center of the planet of the same charge held in place simply because of the magnetic field, to prevent the planets temperature from dropping to absolute zero however you could also have a continuous series of fusion reactions between lightweight gasses. going into a continuous loop constantly absorbing and releasing solar energy back into itself. in addition the interior could have several orbiting mini planets/entirior sattelights which could account fro the planets rotation and magnetic radiation shield.....what you don't want it to end up like mars right?
Welcome one and All to the Jesters Carnival, where the prizes are greater than your wildest dreams, but the nightmares here shall silence you before you can even scream.

That requires a precise balance between the magnetic field of the core and the inner crust, also wouldn't the gasses reactions be disturbed by a shifting climate that would cause different chemicals to come together. As for the planetoids, wouldn't they have to both repel the crust AND the core while not upsetting the fusions balance?

....let's not forget the fact that this thing is larger than our sun. and yes, it all works on an incredibly precise blanced system which works on a sort of continuous motion factor, continually feeding off of the solar system itself, unhalted by anything less than a barrage of giant metoerites roughly the size of jupiter.....and whatever doesn't work just say magic, I just like to have a planet that won't crumble if I leave for three seconds.

*Teleports to Wulf's party, using one of the minor spells from Personalized Spellbook to enhance the party.* To improve my defenses, I add some enchantments from Personalized Spellbook (had more than a few defensive spells) and I use Syringe Manifestation to give myself biological enhancements. I also use Research Zone to improve my armor and make a robotic bodyguard, who has each component given a different ability with Ability Imbuing, is enchanted and is surrounded by several wards and pocket dimensions.
Bow before your unimaginably powerful overlord!

I would have read Jester's suggestion, but since it's too long and not properly divided for my eyes...no.
Either way, though, cut Jester some slack. Theories on fundamental forces are hard to come up with. I don't know if you remember, but once I came up with a hypothetical theory (that I totally DON'T believe, and posed just for argument's sake) that gravity was a pushing force instead of a pulling one...

Well, I thank you for the assistance against that terrible plague, Myself, but the threat is not yet over. As of now, a rogue Cosm is barreling toward the atmosphere of Earth. Due to its form, being composed of magical energies and cosmic energies, it is anti-magic and immutable (with a body that absorbs most if not ALL manners of energy), not to mention only semi-sentient (so no reasoning with it). What's worse, it's the size of planet Pluto. It's caught sight of Earth's moon reflecting the Sun's rays, and is attracted to the energy emanated by the planet Earth itself. Normally, it'd be harmless, but if it passes ENTIRELY through the Earth's atmosphere (with it's HUGE size compared to Earth), not only will its body passively take away a great deal of heat from the atmosphere, it'll drain the entire planet of any and all current electricity and other energies, with PROBABLY the exception of life-force, magic and psionics. AAAAAND, some other cosmic entities have drifted through space for a few years, and have been drawn toward Aeon and Myself's planet. Two Cosms are drawn toward Aeon, one the size of Jupiter, the other the size of Saturn. Toward Myself's planet, four Gullets. It is known that only one is about to die, though not confirmed which. If the one may be exterminated without setting off the others, perhaps any dangers may be avoided, and the rest will return to just eating up cosmic debris. Set off the wrong one, and you'll likely have to use a MythPower to escape it. They are ALSO anti-magic, immutable, and only semi-sentient. Lastly, toward Celadon, a fourth Cosm. It is the size of Jupiter, and has not eaten in months, due to being especially greedy, and having spent too long in a sector of space. It's drained its native sector of usable energy, and has had to go an unnaturally long time without eating (as larger Cosms took up what little remained). Meaning, we are in deep crap if we don't feed it and send it about its way soon. Um...help. Somebody. Please.

......ultimate authority.
"GO AWAY NOW." and done. The earth is saved I'llhave to do something different about the other two, you have no idea how muc energy it takes to command something that large to do anything.

So.. we're doomed.

So Cosms are attracted to energy right.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

Well...only kinda doomed...
That is, unless Myself can think of a way out of it (thought I'd provide a challenge for one of our resident strategists...).

@Jester: THEY ARE ENERGY BEINGS AND SEMI-SENTIENT AND THUS INCAPABLE OF UNDERSTANDING LANGUAGE
@Neo: Yes. Sure. Do that. With a galaxy full of not only stars and other energy-filled bodies, but a species of living black holes, and living cosmic storms (highly volatile, by the way), you're DEFINITELY supposed to let loose a high amount of heat...

You didn't save CRAP. They are semi-sentient, and capable only of understanding their basest instincts. And unless Ultimate Authority is DIVINE and not PSIONIC, they are immune to it.

I use Solar Projection to create several miniature stars, then activate Energy Converter to turn the energy they produce into raw magical power, which I use to fuel several layers of defensive Abjurations around Earth.
This is mostly to slow them down some. I figure it will take them at least a little bit of time to drain the wards to nothingness.
