New Beginning 22: Once Upon a New Beginning...

[The Narrator]

*the musical number stops*

"Wait, I think my song showed me something underground....


Some structure underground....  Lets see if I can still do the moves

*i do a Michael Jackson and turn into sand.  I head down and notice the crystals.*

(Not sure what to do with the crystals)

[Marvelous Miscreant]

(You aren't supposed to do anything with them. Way to take the fun out of a trap by instantly noticing it.....with a dance no less)

"Blast he found it faster than I thought he would" I think as I hurriedly accelerate my trap.

The ground explodes in a shower of dirt and stone as I burst from my hiding place. I land calmly a few feet from my exit hole, my arms still stretched outwards, fingers extended like a puppeteer. Fine chains of crystal spiral from the tips of my fingers into the ground. I pause for a brief moment before pulling back on the crystal chains...hard!

Deep below the surface, the thousands of crystal veins that crisscross the arena begin to rapidly contract, pulling the ground with them. All around the Narrator, the crystal web shrinks and contracts, trapping him within a sphere of compacting earth. With a twist of my wrist the crystal chains rip the massive sphere of earth containing my foe from the ground and hurtle it into the sky. I let go of the chains and they instantly begin to dissolve into the massive sphere of earth, transforming it into a solid block of quartz as it sails skyward.

Smiling to myself, I leap towards it, landing gently on its surface as it accelerates into the clouds.

"Have a nice trip..." I whisper to the sphere before delivering a force impacting punch to the sphere's surface, rocketing into into space.

"Let's see ya get out of that!"

[The Narrator]

*I burrow only a couple of feet before a massive explosion happened.  The resulting attack confused me, disorienting me.  I revert to my natural form, as I feel myself flying back*

"Oh god, it's dark and I'm being thrown against my will!  ROLLERCOASTER!"
I scream as I giggle being hurled away. Being such a silly being, I don't consider any possible danger.

Eventually, I into orbit--still laughing too hard from the "fun" ride, I'm rendered useless, as my powers require focus.....

<Good deal sending me into space :), didn't expect that>

[Zaleramancer]

Change raced through the mass of Von Inge at lightning speed.. but Von Inge was significantly massive. The creeping infection, even moving at grand and exponential speed, would not be significantly impairing for quite awhile.

She glanced at Philote and clapped her hands.

A ripple passed through space-time as gravity distorted it. A wave of warped space traveled towards Philote.

[The Narrator]

The sphere slows, and I being to wonder where I am, I open a peephole to view my surroundings.  

*Now I didn't take astronomy, but I would think the moon looks mighty blue...."

As I continue to observe my surroundings, the dawn of realization occurs.  

"Crap, am I in space?  I would think it would be colder."


The temperature in the sphere began to drop.


"Wait, I have to stop thinking about how space should be or else I won't survive!  I hate being a sci major..."

Just then, another being appears in the sphere.

Those chains tight enough?  You gotta remember, to not remember all them facts you store in your head.  You think you'd learn that by now...


"Shut up!  Why are you here?"

Well you should have seen that trap coming, and now you're stuck up here thinking about the vast emptiness of space, no heat, air, and how your how you can't move in the chains.

The air dissipates from the sphere....

*gasping* "I can breathe...."  air rushes back into the sphere

"And I'm not talking to myself"

Ha, you are indeed talking to yourself--paradox much?  I'm taking over, I wanna take on this Marv

"This is my..."

...our fight, I mean you and I are essentially two halfs of a whole fool.  Ha, I made a funny.  Nonetheless, we are one, and I want to take other, your silly side got you shipped in space.  I, your more serious demeanor, will get help you keep up.

"But how?  We're drifting in space, now I hate Physics, but our vector is going away from the the planet"

There's several options simple, but once would be a slight bump  He butt bumped the side of the sphere and ignore the whole frame of reference thing, and let's just pretend here that your acceleration and velocity got us back in the atmosphere in say now....


*The sphere heads back to the planets atmosphere and stops, becoming temporarily locked in orbit*

"But I'm still in these chains, they won't come off"

Ouch, that sucks, guess you'll have to deal with that till they come off
Once we see him, we'll make our move



<Just fyi, the Narrator talks to himself, and as such, he's sometimes the only one who can see/hear the personifications of his thoughts>

[Philote]

I throw the PseudoCore towards Lady Von Inge to free up my left hand and it arcs through the space between us towards her.

I call up the energy that I gained from merging with Sol, the energy that gave me a connection to the powers developed by all those within my species. A black sphere comes out of my palm and hovers in my left hand. A mimicked Core, but still a real Core none the less. The Core of Gravity.

I expend the energy with the Core, activating its powers. A series of black rings expands out from me, not unlike Saturn's, forming a protective field as the ripple cascades against it.

As Bug jumps between us, I terminate the energy forming the rings around me.

"Well, I guess I did say that I just wanted a training match. I suppose we got a little carried away. Thanks for the match, Lady Von Inge."

"See that big ole ball of stuff up there?" I ask, pointing up into the sky at the large ball of earth, "The narrator's in there....waiting I suppose. Go give 'em a nice pleasant wake up call. And by nice and pleasant...I mean the opposite."
