New Beginning 19: A New Chapter

[Zaleramancer]

"Yes. And you're Lyna?"

(If you'd like to tell more about her species, then I don't mind. I like to get a good grasp of the power level of who I fight.)

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna: "Yes, I am Lyna of the Ryoka tribe and wielder of the Rapier d'Âmes Glass Sentry Prison."

(Alright, well there are 5 races in Le Monde d'Ombre: The Kata, the Hira, the Furi, the Kan, and the Roma. Lyna is of the Kata race. Every member of the Kata race of course has no eyes, but they don't need them. They have a magnetic field that they give off that allows them to sense anything within a 2 metre radius of their bodies. In terms of magic, the Kata are best at magic that has to do with Metal and they can change their bodies at will to become more or less demonic as needed. If I were to choose an RPG Class that would fit any random member of the Kata best, it would be Spellsword. Also, Lyna is a member of the Ryoka tribe which means she also has skill at taming animals and mythos. So, Lyna's a Beast Tamer, a Spellsword, and a Soulsword Wielder. Got all that?)

[Zaleramancer]

"Wonderful to meet you. When shall we begin?"

(Think so. I will be using Shape-Shifting, Super-Speed and possibly some Magic, as my superpowers.)

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna: "Right now."

Lyna charges at Zale.

(Understood)

[Zaleramancer]

My form blurs as a dash several yards to the side, curve and stop a meter behind Lyna.

"Psst! You missed."

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Metal carves up out of the ground from below Zale.

Lyna: "Missed? Who says?"

[Zaleramancer]

I clap my hands together.

"Fire melts Metal."

Flames roar around me, conjured to fight off the metallic magic.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna changes her body to have demonic claws and demonic resistance to fire before charging at Zale yet again.

[Zaleramancer]

"Magic justifies the use of magic, does it not?"

I say as the newly demonic Lyna charges.

I begin to sing in the tongue of the celestials, each word sending a wave of holy power towards Lyna.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna is blasted back by the holy power before she turns her body back to its normal state and says, "Shatter, Glass."

The katana's hiltguard turns to glass and several glass rings appear around Lyna before flying at Zale.

[Zaleramancer]

The sudden attack catches me by surprise, and I'm forced to evade.

My body moves and contorts like something boneless, stretching and shifting in an amazing display of metamorphic speed and agility.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna calls out in a strange voice and some leopard-wolves from earlier run out and attack Zale as Lyna slashes at Zale.

[Zaleramancer]

"No tag team."

Several additional limbs grow from my body. In sudden blur followed by two thumps, my new super-fast arms render the leopard-wolves unconscious.

The glass rapier manages to make a shallow cut along my torso, as well as a few of the arms.

Lyna uses some of her magic to form 5 spears and throws them at Zale while also using her glass rings.

(No tag team? Lyna has skill as a Beast Tamer for a reason)

[Zaleramancer]

(I have skill as a summoner. Want me to use it to summon an army of reapers, my insane shadow, several seasonal personifications and a few physical gods? The main reason I'm not is because I assumed she wanted some kind of one versus one honorable duel thing.)

I move so fast the air around me pops, barely avoiding the attack.

In circles I run around Lyna, limbs blurring.

(Look back on the posts and you'll see that Daarken asked for someone to fight her. He never said who, so you could actually use summons.)

Lyna has her glass rings go in a sphere around her to both defend and harm Zale by having him run into them.

[Zaleramancer]

I back off, then smile and point at the ground.

While moving at super-human speeds, I had taken the time to draw a pentacle in a circle on the ground, filled with runes and magic glyphs. Every aspect of the circle detailed constraining, binding and keeping something in place.

All this, with Lyna in the center.

A spark of magic ignites from my hand, then drifts down to land on the edge of the pentacle. It surges into light, glowing an incandescent blue. Magic takes hold, forming a barrier to restrain the one standing in it.

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Lyna moves around a little bit and bumps into the barrier. She checks every spot around and realizes that she's been fully surrounded.

Lyna: "I really need to learn some negation spells. I lose."

[Zaleramancer]

"It was a wonderful duel."

My body returns to it's default state, and I walk forward. Magic flows backwards out of the circle as it sputters out, freeing Lyna.

"Have I represented my fellows in an adequate fashion?"

[Tsubasa & Wen Tien]

Daarken: "Yes, you have. Lyna is one of the better apprentices and capable of defeating some of our full warriors, but even she needs more training. I will fight this one who I need to fight if your side upholds the deal I requested."

Arisugawa: "I will make sure that Lyna of the Ryoka tribe will be admitted to the Academy that I teach at. She should learn much there."

Everyone returns back to the place we were at before and Arisugawa takes Lyna to the MCA as Daarken leaves to aid in the fight.

Alright, you guys get a break for a little while as I prepare the rules for the next world.
