New Beginning 18: Beware of Reality Warpers!

[Zaleramancer]

I point towards the sky, then Terryffinda.

"CONTACT!" I say as I duck.

Lightning arcs from the sky towards her.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 Nikolai smirks at the landed injury, and calls the spear back to him as the ordinary Bo Staff. He then looks it over a second, thinking what next to turn it into.

[Philote]

I use this time to continue excavating the area, hoping to find Brutus and expanding my zone of water at the same time.

[Marvelous Miscreant]

"Why You smug little..." My body slowly begins to grow quartz armor. I raise Sarabi and his blade grown twice as large.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

 Terryffinda gasps as the lightning heads toward her.

She throws one of the metal Tessen toward the lightning blast, hoping it'll be conducted sufficiently, and then takes cover.

Brutus zigs and zags, avoiding the water as it closes in slowly, and then decides...

"Hey...I have an idea."

Taking up the sword Babaraina, he turns around, and begins swirling the sword. Perhaps he can make contact with the water, and turn it back against Phi.

If not, he'll at least  be prepared for the impending wave of watery doom.

Nikolai watches Marv change.

In response, he, too, begins to grow armor...on the inside, a flexible iron-titanium-steel amalgam, on the outside, noxious poisonous mercury.

[Zaleramancer]

The lightning strikes the Tessen, sending it flying. It half-embeds itself in the ground and glows slightly.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Terryffinda peeks her head out from behind another tree to see the steaming, glowing Tessen.

"Impressive, Zaleramancer." She walks up to the fiery war-fan, "But I have a few tricks up my sleeve as well."

She points the second Tessen at the first...it levitates telekinetically, and begins to glow yet hotter. It even sparks a little with the electricity that hit it.

It flies at Zale like a mini-missile.

[Philote]

I zap another cube of Earth and it vanishes to be filled with water, but this time Brutus is found inside swirling his sword. When the sword collides with the water rushing in, some of it reverses direction and speeds off with great force towards me. Pulling back one of the gauntlets I'm wearing, I swing forward and the water around me turns a lighter color. This shining water takes on the form of a shark and collides with the water jet head on, nullifying it.

"Quartz Morningstar!" I swing Sarabi and the blade changes into a massive spked quartz ball that streaks towards Nikolai

Hey, shad, are these magic?

[Celadon's Penultimate]

The water crashes in around Brutus on all sides. Fortunately, Babaraina made a rather effective air bubble to at least temporarily withstand drowning.'

Sheathing the sword a second, he puts his hands on the surface of the bubble and begins to navigate back through the tunnels like a hamster in a hamster ball.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

Nikolai spins the Bo Staff like a airplane propeller to riposte the rather wicked-looking morning-star.

My servants' weapons? Yes.

They can't be permanently destroyed, only counteracted or broken temporarily.

[Zaleramancer]

I pull out a white great-sword, and thwack the Tessen with it. It skitters off, fading as it goes.

"Meet the third moonblade."

[Philote]

With Brutus now visible, I don't give him the chance to escape back underground. I transmogrify a large section of the ground below him into more water and close in to fight with my gauntlet weapons "Marine fangs."

 Terryfinda eyes the pretty sword, "Fascinating."

The Tessen boomerangs back to her hand, and thinks for a second. Then she rears both fans back, and decides to stick with distance attacks.

Clashing the war fans together, they release a sonic clang like the ringing of fifty Big Bens.

[Celadon's Penultimate]

The Bubble containing Brutus levitates to the surface, keeping Brutus afloat within. He pulls out the sword again, and the Bubble solidifies into solid water, sprouting wicked spikes.
