(The chest and shoulder are still there, the attack burned through him. Part of Philote mechanics, but essentially same thing as if you had blown hole in him)

The being roars, and new energy begins to form around him from the rift. He teleports up to Marv and causes his energy to grip around him as a jaw to try and consume him.

I sphere of white hot flames expands around be blasting back the mouths surrinding me. My eyes glow with rage and spines of Quartz extend on my back. I raise a single hand and yell as white energy blasts from my palm and engulfs my opponent.

And I use Paradiso. Energy wraps around my blade, and I pierce it down from above. My blade extends and creates a cross with Marv's own attack.

Marv's attack destroy's all the consumed matter that has made up the beast and my attack purifies the rest. All that remains is a famine stricken husk.
