Mythical power story idea thread-thing!

 In Mount Olympus, Home of the great and mighty Olympians, a simple disagreement between the brother-gods Poseidon, Zeus, and Hades has escalated until it verges on out-right war! With the gods and goddesses choosing sides, and chaotic Eris spreading strife among them, The situation looks like the beginning of a war unlike any before.

 Just as it seems that open hostilities will break out, the wise Athena presents them with an alternative. Part entertainment, and part contest, She proposes that the immortals choose mortals and empower them with a portion of their abilities and to the gods and goddesses of the victorious, goes a prize unlike any other. A seat on Olympus!

 Now the gods and goddesses go forth to choose to choose their chosen, all seeking the singular prize.

Very Interesting indeed. But I also really liked the character you did on creating your own hero post. The description of that war goddess along with her story sounds like a very enticing series.

I would sure like to read that myself.

So far the ideas of the story ( unformed that they are) It focuses more on the chosen people, than the gods themselves. The gods want the prize, so they give the chosen powers and advice, but are forbben to help directly. The also might offer incentives, or prizes to the chosen if they win.

Any ideas you have would be apreciated, So if you have any. Feel free to help.

Chapter 1 is done. The first ones will be kinda short, but they should expand once i get most of the characters done.
