But, if you want to do thank-you notes for graduation, just be straightforward.
"Dear (family relation title) (name)
("I'm so glad you were able to attend my graduation") or ("I'm sorry you couldn't make it to my graduation"). Thanks so much for your graduation gift (or maybe mention what specifically they gave you)! They are greatly appreciated.
("sincerely")/("love")/("yours truly"),
(your name)"
Shouldn't be long or drawn out, unless it something like "lotses and lotses of moneys--derp". Otherwise, a simple "thanks" should do.
