Don't hate the player, hate the game...
It's probably some error in dating due to lag.

Its probably due to having the end of the sits day being at 7 PM for me, letting me get one power before 7 and one power after (I've done this a couple times)
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |

MythPower: Bia's Benefit is a wise choice.

The time when I acquired three powers on the same day was definitely due to some sort of bug (I don't mind if Justin wants to remove any two of them).
The other times when two powers were acquired during the same day are very frequent and totally normal. Remember the site's time zone is the Reykjavik one because Justin would have to pay to change it to a US one. So, only one power can be acquired per day in Reykjavik. And since the times and dates displayed on the site are New York ones (Justin created a program to calculate it from the site's clock and display it -- I wonder if he took daylight saving changes into account), it's normal if two powers acquired on two separate and consecutive Reykjavik days are shown as being acquired during the same day in New York. |

I can tell this is gonna get confusing.

Well, thank God the allpower time is now random. It was enough trouble calculating when it happens when each country's daylight saving time occurs. It would have been worse now with the site depending on two different clocks, a Reykjavik one and a fake New York one that's calculated from the Reykjavik one (I'm still waiting to see if Justin took into account that Iceland doesn't use daylight saving while New York does)

Yeah, I suppose it's for the best.

I hate the randomness, I miss it most days and today I found at the least minute and couldn't get a power

Yeah personally I think the site was better with it being at the same time and only changing each month.

So do I, but I doubt we have any way to change it back to normal, unless somebody can get back in contact with Justin.

For mine: Ability Master was acquired before 7 on the 25th, Summoning Specialty was acquired before 7 on the 26th, starcrafter acquired after 7 on the 26th, and gun manipulation acquired after 7 on the 27th
So, still four separate site days.

I know I once said to Sirmazing we aren't allowed to acquire a new power the next day. But there actually is nothing that prevents you from doing so -- I don't even think Justin knows about this "issue". It's just a consequence of the one-power-per-Reykjavik-day rule to a certain extent: So, you just acquired a power, therefore you can't get a new one until after 12 a.m. in Reykjavik. Nothing abnormal so far. If you manage to get a new power the next day in Reykjavik before it's 12 a.m. in New York, it will be displayed as if you acquired two powers on the same day! Once again, you can't get the next power until after 12 a.m. in Reykjavik, so for nearly the whole next day in New York, you can't acquire any power... nearly... ... Because what happened with Philote is he managed to get the next power on a new Reykjavik day but before the day ends in New York. So, there's actually nothing preventing you from acquiring a new power the day after seemingly acquiring two powers on the same day. It's just because there's such a short time frame (4 hours after Reykjavik's midnight and before New York's) during which you can make it happen. When I said to Sirmazing that there's something preventing you from acquiring a new power the next day, I just overly simplified the explanation. You actually can't acquire a new power the next day, but only until 8 p.m. (when it's 12 a.m. in Reykjavik) So, nope. It's not that it didn't work right, it's totally normal. |
