"Very well." The Spymaster. He arms extended again, cradling the Avatar like a child and lifting it up. "Come along then. There are things you should know. Lets go and see this new spirit. Crav, Jhella, thank you."
With a sweep of her cloaks, she's gone, out the door. When she's sure she isn't being followed, she leans down and whispers to Anima. "You should notice, at least form the costumes, how loved Gilgamesh remains among the people. All of the people." She told him the whole story, and the logic that went into their decision. -------------------- It had just zoomed past, leaving his cape twisting in the backdraft. He was almost ecstatic. Almost. He turned and shot after it, flying close through the arcs of power that surrounded the thing. Gaining, overtaking. Till he stood before it again. He cracked his neck, squared his shoulders, and put out his hands. "Okay hoss, we tried it The Watchman's way. Now we do it mine. Lets wrestle boy!" He braced himself, and caught it.

Stohlen and his Boquabian partner slunk through back alleys and shadowy walkways as they traversed the Spectropolis' city edge. They were looking for a particular establishment, a tavern called the Blighted Mare. A certain fellow there had information that Stohlen wanted.

"I see, and you wish for me to keep my silence, that much I can tell" Anima replies "You need not worry. For now, I have greater worries than that matter. I will not deal with it."
--------------------------------------------- The static cloud expanded out and enveloped the Veteran until it was it was a prominent feature in the sky. Within, all was a mix of light gray and blue. A section within began to darken in the shape of the top half of a humanoid figure. From it came a voice more natural that Anima's but still retaining a hint of Anima's electrical crackle. "Why do you insist on impeding Murozond's way!"

If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
"Just want to know where the fire is." Replied the Veteran, "Y'know, besides the one someone lit under your ass."

"Murozond does not find your meaning. You simply waste Murozond's time!"
The figure in the clouds seems to see himself for the first time as he paces through the cloud speaking with the Veteran. The blurry figure in the cloud is replaced by something more defined. A muscular upper torso covered in fine garments appears. The figure is defined by a range of blues and purples and a certain sense of formlessness surrounds the figure even after it has fully taken shape. The trail leading from the lamp to Murozond becomes visible as well. "Much work must be done on this world. Let Murozond travel below at once!"

"To restore power! You feel the condition of the world, do you not?" he replies.
"Murozond shall go below, find a mortal of his choosing, answer his wish, and then Power will be healed slightly. Murozond shall continue this until aspect is in good health."

The Veteran considers this and lets go.
"Should of told me that the first time. There's this huge city out there, you'll see it in a minute, avoid that place like the plague if your grantin' wishes. It puts the kibosh on divine power."

"Well, if you want to grant big wishes there are two places. You head that way," he said, pointing in the direction of Alabasta, "until you get to the country that's mostly earthy people. The ones with claws would probably wish biggest. Then there's that way, across the ocean." He said, pointing his way to the Magocratic Empire. "Anyone there without a floating castle is probably deep in want."

"Murozond has considered your words. There was a woman who encountered my other, I shall start with her."
Murozond's form blurs and moves itself to reside in the lamp along with the cloud that had enveloped the Veteran. The lamp quickly accelerates, moving in the skies over the ocean to complete the loop it had set out on from birth. ------------------------------------- The shore that Anima had originally washed up on eventually comes within Murozond's sight. The home of the woman who had reacted to Anima's presence before Murozond had burst from it was visible from Murozond's perch in the sky. Murozond descends, setting down his lamp within the residence of the woman who was his target. One final transformation completes Murozond's accent as the Spirit of Power, the metal plating of his lamp liquifies and is absorbed into the interior of the lamp, revealing a glass lamp beneath that held the blue storm that was Murozond. (Zale, I'm going to need you to RP that woman again ) ------------------------------------- Anima's voice crackled to the Spymaster. "It seems Murozond has taken his leave. Spymaster, I must ask for yours and the Watchman's assistant. While I've been reduced to this new Spirit's Avatar, I am still free to do as I please. I would like to take steps to return as a guardian over Eternus."

"Of course."
The old thing snaps her fingers, and the watchers from before reluctantly float out of the Forge. "I want the both of you to put everyone on alert: Gilgamesh's pantheon may be manifesting in the world once more. I want sharp eyes and sharper ears. If one returns and I am unaware of it I will hold that sectors watchers personally responsible." The pair made a sound that could be called gulping and shot off into the air to do as she commanded. Satisfied, she turned back to Anima. "Would you like to depart right away, or do you think there is enough time for you to meet your bastards?"

"I hope that their return is more likely now than ever with my awakening, but I believe that your search may be looking in the wrong direction. I have turned on the lights, so to speak, or set up a beacon you could say. If they are to return, it would be from the stars. As for your last inquiry, you will have to explain your words."

"Oh this will be an experience." she says. "Follow me."
------------------------- The harbor was busy, far busier today than it was at any other time. But no ships came to this area. Most districts of the city stopped at he waters edge, but not this one. The residential district just kept going, down under the water. The cities unofficial fifth district, called the Blue District by those that made their homes there. A paved path that continued on into the water. It was here the bastard children of Gilgamesh made there home. Those that didn't live under the waves set up shop on the shoreline, and the serpentine people mingled with Wavefolk in the water. The Spymaster watched Anima, gauging a reaction. "The Babysitter referred to them as Gills. Like most of her nicknames, it became official. Waverider delivered them unto the city, but we're positive that they're yours. The Eternians set up an embassy near here, just to monitor them."

A woman in a trenchcoat sat perched on a roof as they slunk past.
With a nostalgic smile, she took a cigar from the coat and lit it with a snap of her fingers. She puffed thoughtfully, sending out little clouds of inky smoke. After a moment, the woman dissipated into a cloud of smoke and surged after the pair. Lo never could turn down a chance to observe shifty activities.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

"So, I see you two are scheming."
Hazet Junior descended from the sky, disturbing banners and wind chimes with his wings. His appearance, as always, both contrasted and resembled his senior's- Tall and finely dressed in silk, but with a far less exotic olive skin tone compared to Hazet's usual gold. He brushed a bit of dust off his deep purple shirt with a ring covered hand and then bit into a strangely shaped red fruit. With a mouth half full of fruit, he continued, "Well nothing's on fire, so I must be interrupting early."

In the streets near one of the harbors, a vast man waded through the crowd. To say he was a giant was to understate the matter. He loomed over the crowd and peeked into second story windows, and such was his bulk that he blocked off half the street.
A jolly giant with coppery skin and cobalt blue tattoos, huge golden rings hung from each ear and waggled with his frequent laughs. His smile revealed sharp and well maintained teeth. As he made his slow way towards the center of the city a few people shifted out of the way to reveal a gaggle of children making their own much speeder way towards him. "Bazul! Bazul! Bazul!" They chittered cheerfully, jumping up and down around him as a few of the more adventurous ones began scaling him. His voice rumbled merrily out, "Well, well, well. What have we here?" as his hand reached back and snatched a child from his back. "Up! Up!" The little girl said, clapping her hands. Bazul tossed her playfully in the air, catching her before she had a chance to fall far. He began to move to the side, out of the traffic and sat carefully near house wall. Children surged around. "I made you a picture!" "Lookit my new doll!" "I losth a tooth! Shee! Shee!" The Sea God chuckled and began talking and listening attentively to the little children. He was used to entertaining childlike minds.

"If your up there, that means the parades must be over for the day. How was leading?"

Sonia giggled. She had never met people so charming. She had spent most of the past 400 years in the company of other gods and when she did venture out among the people it was to witness displays of worship and thanksgiving. Never had anyone treated her like an equal.
"I ...I think I will join you. Thank you."

Somewhere over Môsôoriku, several yards above the ground, the air began to bend. It was as if space had decided to melt. the air, swirled and pulsed, distorting the brilliant blue sky behind it. Slowly, the distortion began to darken, scattering light until it took of a more solid appearance. It bubbled and twisted there in the sky until all at once it ripped open.
The tear remained open for only a moment, just long enough for anyone watching to glimpse the void beyond and for a limp figure to fall out. The figure fell like a rag doll from the height to hit the ground hard, throwing up a small cloud of dust in the process. As the dust settled, it revealed the form of a Durhian lying unconscious in a small crater.
