The Vandals stop, and Footprints looks up, shading her eyes with her hands. "Yeah, the sun is getting pretty high in the sky. We should probably stop until it starts to set. Sands!"

The other is suddenly at attention.

"Set up shade."
"Ma'am!"

Sands walks off the road and hits the ground digging, while Footprints pulls a large tarp out of her bag. She lays it on the ground and invites Aox over. "We should have a proper shade in about 20 minutes, but for now you can sit here. Best to keep off the sand when the sun is this high."

Hime tsked. She'd hoped her vines could have done more to harm her enemy, but at least they drained some mana from Amalia. That fog and spark couldn't have been easy to do, but it was time to try something else. Hime had the Hydra Dagger duplicate itself yet again, only this time it was hundreds of daggers in the form of a snake's head that lunged at Amalia. The Cobra technique.

Upon arriving back at home, Magnas and Suna went to find Lily and Kyouko. The 4 of them talked for several minutes upon meeting up to catch up on what had happened both at home and abroad, then Lily and Kyouko told Magnas and Suna about their idea of a group that would defend Lady Mina's land against any threat should something happen to the gods of Mina's pantheon or the gods were busy with other activities. Magnas and Suna agreed to the idea and the four immediately got to work searching for the mortals who would be the first of the defense group....

He was halfway to the medical room when the Watchman realized that, perhaps, the boy wasn't to blame. He stopped and thought. What exactly were the rules of this tournament?

He strode into Gilgamesh's box minutes later.

"Gilgamesh, tell me, does this tournament have any rules at all?"

[Zaleramancer]

Seek: Attack Incoming.

Waving arms of unseen energy knock many of the daggers away. A few manage to get past them and glance off the green wards.

Power System: Energy levels: 74%

Amalia gestures, and the arms of power reach for where the attack originated.

Hime moves away from where the arms reach to and fires off a Mamba (a Cobra except that now she's rubbed poison onto the daggers), before moving again.

"Oh no you don't." Amalia mutters under her breath.

The seek spell begins to hone in on Hime, directing the arms. They seem to reach and slide along the ground, feeling and searching for the foe.

Hime moves around as fast andrandomly as she can so that she can't be found easily, preparing her energy and the Hydra Dagger for a larger attack.

Amalia called back the hands, keeping them nearby to strike if needed.

Hime continued concentrating energy until she had enough for her next strike: the Naga. Three heads formed from daggers fly out from Hime's position towards Amalia. All of their 'teeth' are poisoned. Hime moves away from the spot quickly to avoid counterattacks.

Amalia is almost physically pushed backwards by the attack. The blades are flung back weakly. Poison boils across force-shields and is repelled by wards.

The unseen hands swing forward, striking the area the attack came from with such force it creates a small crater. They bend and multiply, feeling for the attacker.

Hime notes the counterattack. No way was she going to put herself in the way of something capable of that. If the arena couldn't withstand that, then her body wouldn't be able to either. She'd have to be even more careful now. Hime lets several copies of the Hydra Dagger fall on random spots and eight in a circle around Amalia in the arena to prepare for an emergency.

Amalia starts up another incantation, allowing the hands to continue searching.

Hime moves around forming a circle inside her Cloak several circles of daggers held together by string. It was time for the Ouroboros. Hime throws several rings of daggers at Amalia from different points in the arena.

[Zaleramancer]

The attack rattles against the wards.

Amalia unleashes her spell. A small red rune appears, shaped like a song-bird. It thrills in the air, sending a wave of disorienting sound across the arena.

Hime cringes in pain at the noise, she was glad that hearing wasn't something Lady Mina had boosted, although due to the training that she'd undergone with Kagehana, her hearing was a little bit more sensitive than others. Oh, well. Hime pulls some cloth out of her pockets and stuffs it in both ears just in case. She then continues making more rings of daggers and throwing them at Amalia.

The sorceress smiles. Predictable patterns.

Amalia moves the hands into position, each catching and throwing back the daggers towards where they had originated.

Hime notes as the daggers get caught now, instead of hitting the shields as she continues running. She'd have to try something else, but what? The Cobra wasn't powerful enough, the Mamba was practically the same as the Cobra, the Naga might work slightly better as it was a 3-pronged attack, and the Ouroboros was getting intercepted before it could hit..... Maybe, it was time for the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Hime had the daggers she'd dropped all over the arena, it should be enough. She let loose her mana for levitation spells to make the daggers rise up, then form several fish-like bodies that flew at Amalia after she quickly said, "Walk upon the earth with speed, Give me all thestrength I need. Stride."

The fish flew at Amalia with heightened attack power from all over the arena.

The Green Sprite flew off from Gilgamesh's booth carrying the Artifact Vine to join the Mirror Shield at the Vault of the Titans to bring the Mirror Shield alive as part of the Spirit Titan moments before the Watchman entered (Create Divine Artifact).

"Greetings Watchman, have you come to join me in watching the fight as well? Crav here was about to reveal the reward he has created for the tournament" Gilgamesh says as the Watchman entered his viewing booth.

"You wish to know about the rules?" Gilgamesh responds "The heroes can not receive assistance during their match without the match being instantly forfeited and the heroes can not interfere with each other outside of their matches as long as they still participate. These are the most important rules of the tournament."

As they searched around for the mortals who would comprise the group to defend Lady Mina's land, Lily, Kyouko, Magnas, and Suna talked about what to call the group and what rites there might be for joining as well as different divisions for the group. The name they decided on forthe defensive group was 'The Spellbound," which would be divided into 3 divisions: The Fangs, The Claws, and the Anti-Magi. Each would have its own specialty and role in combat. The Fangs would be the guerrilla-type warfare group composed purely of those with two or more racial heritages: the Halves and the Chimerae, the Claws would be the obvious police-like group that would attend to beauracratic duties, and the Anti-Magi would neutralize harmful magicks directed at allies and beneficial magicks aimed at enemies.

After a few hours of searching, the four found the first 14 who would compose the Fangs, the first 7 to compose the Claws and the first 6 to compose the Anti-Magi. This would be the beginning of the Spellbound (-0 motes, Create Religious Order, Inherent for Magnas).
