Lords of Creation Rule Testing Duels

Mortal Hero v Lesser Mythos

Mortal Hero v Servitor

Lesser Mythos v Servitor

Demi-God v Greater Mythos.

Essentially, I need to fill these roles.

I will play as one character, and someone else as the other.

This, I feel, will help everyone adjust to the current rule changes.

That includes I.

If you'd like to contribute, please post a profile.

I'll add whatever I see in place of the words on the list. I may simply use the apposing character, or create my own if need be.
“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

Dragons:
Breath (3)
Combat (3)
Hunting (2)
Maneuvering (2)

Traits: Dragon's Breath, Draconic Spirit, Scales, Flight.

Am I on the right track?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Um.

Well.

Er.

Combat is rather insanely broad, don't you think?

I'm not sure what Maneuvering even counts as.

That is what I thought, in general.

How would you give a minimum of four skills to a Dragon in this system?

That depends heavily on what role they are supposed to fill.

“She'd become a governess. It was one of the few jobs a known lady could do. And she'd taken to it well. She'd sworn that if she did indeed ever find herself dancing on rooftops with chimney sweeps she'd beat herself to death with her own umbrella.”

They are Gilgamesh's big bad greater mythos.

All Greater Mythos are big and bad.

If you were to define it in terms of, say, Age of Mythology, what would you say?

I have not played that game, how do they go about defining things?

Have you ever played a game where you controlled multiple kinds of units, each particular kind with different features?

If you were fighting a war and were able to use Dragons in it, what role would Dragons fill?

The heavy unit, the one that can deal a lot of damage that is also hard to take down.

Breath, Scales, Prime Predator. Dragons are fairly common fantasy creatures, what skills do you think they would have?

Most of them aren't that bad, it's just I feel they should be defined more.

I'm of the mind that an skill should be defined as much as needed.

While this means you should be concise, it also means you should adequately explain abilities so that further questions are unneeded.

You seem to want a lightning bruiser.

Strong. Fast. Durable.

Kraken are anti-naval, essentially.

A sailors worst nightmare- a ship sinker.

They'd have something like..

Sensing Large Things In Water (2)
Regrowing Body Parts (2)
Grappling (3)
Dragging Things Down (3)

Nasty for mortals.

Can pluck people off a ship, regrow hacked off tentacles, drag you down to the depths.

A bit less intimidating if you are to small for them to really notice.

Or simply moving to fast for them to capture.

Or flying.

Or on land.

Dragons..

Breathing <element> (3)

This skill applies to anything a dragon can use their breath element for.

Resisting Weapon Damage (3)

This skill applies to all types of physical weaponry, both manufactured and natural, as well as the element of the dragon's breath weapon.

Maneuvering In The Air (2)

This skill applies to any sort of aerial stunt or flying maneuver.

Fighting With Natural Weapons (2)

This skill applies to any sort of fighting maneuvering using the dragon's own body. I.e: Teeth, Claws, Tail, etc.

Now, to give you some perspective on what this thing would be like to a normal person.

It's a nightmare.

Invulnerable to all weapons.

The merest flick of it's tail is certain death, and it can kill dozens with a blast of flame or frost.

It's not only huge and invulnerable and deadly, it's also fast. A thing that can fly through the air with the agility of a sparrow.

In large scale battles, it's a holy terror.

Flying above the battlefield, massacring soldiers with it's breath, pouncing onto dense formations and ripping them to shreds, ignoring all attacks against it..

The only thing it has to worry about is magic, or similar.

And it's damn sure to take out the mages before anything else.

So it was not so much the skills that I was picking, but how I was defining them?
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. That and the matter of broadness.

Broad is nice, but to much is insane.

Besides adding a longer description, the only thing you changed was restricting the scales to physical damage.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. Breath (3)
Combat (3)
Hunting (2)
Maneuvering (2)
These?

Much more broad than what I outlined above.

Yeah, you took those and simply replaced hunting with scales that I listed from the earlier version. Still have Breath, Combat, and Maneuvering.

Seems you mostly did not like how I listed them out, such as with combat. I did not list fangs, claw, tail, etc while you did. Plus the flavor text of Draconic Spirit was not included, but that does not matter since it was just flavor text anyways.

Yes.

Because I can't tell shit, honestly, about what "Combat" means.

Does it apply to everything you can ever do in combat?

Does it apply to just tooth, claw, etc?

Maneuvering could be any number of different kinds.

 Draconic Spirit?
