If Wulf hasn't had any luck with his search, then I suggest we move on under the assumption that he isn't coming back but still leave the door 'open', so to speak, for his return. He actually did a pretty swell job of writing himself out of the story, actually, imprisoned in crystal as he is. We should keep that. All of his hero's where least lost in nightmares, along with one of his gods. I think Grace is the only one left, watching over the comatose bodies.
So, we bust in there, learn whats going on, Mik is fighting a mental battle against his evil half, perfect stalemate, me and Phi go in and free the people that are ours but can't pull back the ones lost in the nightmares. I take on Grace as a sort of vassal deity (She is friends with one of mine, after all) and we all leave the island in the perfect stasis that it has achieved and will not be disturbed for fear of hurting anyone there. This way, if and when he comes back, Mik will find everything how he left it. Meanwhile, Crav will continue to mack on Uburra-Namall, Mina can keep doing stuff, and we can all move forward.

I haven't gotten any comments from him yet. But I'll keep an eye out, in case he responds.

So there are only two non-Jester characters stuck right? One of Zale's and one of Vault's? And they are stuck in some dream like Plane? Are they at Jester's main continent or was there some island that the Monster King took over? The two characters are away from all of Jester's aren't they, so we could rescue them without running into any of Jester's right?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. |
No, they're on the main island. Zaya, The Babysitter, and the Reasonable, along with Dephose and all of Miks heroes, entered the dream plain through this crystal network that Mik set up. You know, the one that exists below the continents of the world? They entered through a big main crystal on Miks islands. Most of them are comatose, and they're being watched over by his Goddess of Death, Grace, while they sleep. So far, she's the only one of Miks characters that's still active.
The only reason I think it's even possible to get Zaya and the Babysitter is that they faced they're nightmare pasts and overcame them (A ongoing process, in Zaya's case). I had the Reasonable fail at Jesters behest, to raise the tension. Unfortunately, I don't see any way to actually get him back from that. None of Miks guys seemed to be doing well, either. Zaya and the Babysitter are the only ones that seem possible.

So we jump into this big crystal as well and pull them all out, not including Jester's? Unless you're willing to permanently lose the Reasonable, I'd suggest having either the Spirit you already have in there with him or the Watchman be able to get into his nightmare to help him overcome it.

Zaya could be compelled to cheat.
Even so reduced, there are ways..

The problem is he's already lost his nightmare. The way I see it, the only way we can get even Zaya and Babysitter out is because one of them has already beaten it, and the other is on the road to doing so. If you can come up with a way to get the Reasonable out that isn't cheap, I'm all ears.

Well the Babysitter was able to travel to other dreams once she escaped the shackles of her own dream. She should be able to simply travel to where the Reasonable is now that there are no barriers in her way. Once it is not just the Reasonable alone, he might be able to be saved from the nightmare even though he could not by himself. Zaya might not have gotten to the point of escaping hers if the Babysitter had not arrived.

Then we have no excuse not to free all of Miks people as well.

Only if we don't find them. I don't think we actually know anything about what his people are doing except for maybe the one that was with the babysitter and we can RP that she decided to stay to help sort things out.

Wait, didn't Jester put up a giant crystal dome over his continent at one point?

Maybe, but I think that was his evil brother doing it to Spectropolis.
It's not quite as simple as grabbing them and getting out. There's the memory thing, for example. Besides which, I feel the need to wrap this whole incident up with a nice pretty bow.

I was just trying to state it in the most simplest way
I just did a quick search and couldn't pull anything up on there being a dome around his continent so I might of just had it confused with something else he made. Isn't there a specific crystal that the Babysitter used to enter the dream area that we can access also? How did you want to wrap it up? Just getting our people out so other events can continue or something that is going to affect Jester's story more?

I figure, we get the two I think we can out of the crystal memory. Then we take Grace with us when we all leave, because she's the only one who's not passed out. She's a goddess of death, so she miracles the whole place deathless so the mortal sleeping within won't die. It becomes a big old time capsule.
Then the Watchman can beat himself up good and proper for not handling the situation like he should have, being inattentive, and losing one of his people to a mental hell from which there is no escape. Oh yes, I am looking forward to that. He might just brood and be inactive for a little while. He might do something incredibly stupid out of shear self-loathing. I'm honestly not sure how he's going to take this. It's a wonderful ignorance. I feel all tingly with anticipation.

Alright, I was thinking we would set up a way to get everyone who wasn't Jester's out, but it is your character and you seem pretty good at setting up RP opportunities whatever happens.
Jester will most likely come back again at some point and then we can do more with it.

That's what I'm hoping for. I just shot off an E-mail. I check mine about, oh, once a week. If he doesn't respond in that time, we go with my idea.
