I do believe that is a vast exaggeration of its size. Plus since nobody seems to have mentioned it I don;t think anyone really saw it save a few mortals in Mina's lands.

What does everyone think of having a hard reset of Artifacts of any kind?

Certain functions could remain, such as Dryad's law barrier (Minus composing Artifacts), Vault's city, the mana batteries for my race, Zale's magic mirror, and Wulf's Plane-in-a-necklace.

Everything else could be reset and we could try to implement Artifacts the right way this time.

I tried proposing different plans to re-balance the current artifacts but they have not been successful so it may turn out that the old Artifact system is unsalvageable.
Romans 8:31 What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

I'd prefer for them to be lost.

GM CLARIFICATION: She's a god wielding magic against an artifact.

Nasty things should happen, but it's going to go away.

Lost.. That way mortals can rediscover them. Like Excalibur of old..

So you want most of them except the couple examples I've given to completely disappear but have the possibility of returning as plot points later on.

That was my entire plan for all my artifacts anyways. Most notably for the fear stone thing-a-ma-jig.

I don't mind if people keep a few on them.

I just don't want it to be so that you have enough to kill your opponent simply under their weight.

Ok, so just to clarify, Mina would lose most of her Artifacts and Divine Artifacts, keeping only the ones that support her law, right? As well, I would request that she keep the Illusory Labyrinth since it's kind of hard to lose a Divine Artifact that's as large as Mina's lands, even if it's several kilometres below the surface.

Actually, that makes it pretty easy to lose in my opinion. Just seal it off for awhile and after a few generations, the populace will have forgotten its even there. Lands get lost all the time in mythology and fairy tales so why not a land sized maze?

Well, when I say 'keep' I meant that Mina and her pantheon would retain knowledge of the Labyrinth because it would be sealed up by Illusia's Tool of Office (If we use those rules) and I doubt that she'd ever forget the trial that lies below her Tool of Office, even if there's nothing in the Labyrinth except the Divine Artifacts that power the law. Comprenez-vous?

BTW my DSi appears to be having a few problems so if I double post ignore or delete the second post, please and thank you.

I don't mind the Gods knowing that these things exist, or even having an inkling of where they are.

It just makes it more interesting if Mortals.. don't.

Abandoned ruins are interesting, are they not.

...Now I wish I had an advanced society to kill off.

I think you should keep the law but lose the artifacts that make it up. The barrier itself could just become the artifact that you keep.

Re: Lords Of Creation 13 (OCC)

I feel like we should go with Phis suggestion: Power being lost to the world, causing the Divine Artifacts to "Dry up" as it were. That way, the gods wouldn't feel as though they were losing anything if they got lost and would pave the way into the "Tool of Office" model, where they have one object with a close, personal attachment to.

Later, when Phi's gods start creeping back into the world and the Artifacts start acting up again, the world has already been set in stone as a world without them in it. Thus their power is diminished to the point where it's not worth it for gods to reclaim them.

Imagine that the world is just so much drying mud, pressed into a mold. It's still drying, but halfway through the mold changes. Now, it's drying to the shape of this new mold. In the next age, this mud will be dry and unchangeable.

While I'm waiting for the story to progress, I thought I;d get this up here. I'm open to criticisms and suggestions. It also makes me wonder if there will be any other cross species children to come later in the time.

Also, if anyone has a better suggestion for a name I'd like to hear it.
-----------------------------------

Rhean (Re-an)

Born from One Durhian Parent and One Milteo Parent

Characteristics: They possess slender hands and fingers (from Durhian Parent) that end in fine boney finger nails (from Milteo Parent) that resemble claws. They see well in dim light. Due to their mixed heritage skin tone varies between the tan of a Durhian and the paler skin of a Milteo. Occasionally skin tones vary in a single Rhean causing an almost patchwork appearance. Hair colors are also widely varied earth tones. The same can't be said for eye color, as all Rheans possess emerald green eyes. Rheans share both their Durhian parent’s inspiration and Milteo parent’s determination causing many Rheans to be restless and prone to wanderlust. Rheans are often agile. Though not as strong as a full blooded Milteo, Rheans are often stronger than a Durhian.  Rheans age quickly and have a life span of approximately 30 to 40 years.

Hybrid Vigor.

I'll look into cross-species children in the future.

World Building should come soon.

I'm thinking about changing the stuff on hair color and eye color to make them uniform through out all members of the race rather than so varied...what do you think?
