I meant exactly that. Unusually, at the time, I couldn't find the correct language; something unusual to happen to me.

I propose a New Beginning pact, applying in the seemingly unrealistic occasion of gaining our profile powers:
1) The first action will be to grant them to the rest of the site's users who accept this pact.
2) Will not display superpower use until an agreement is reached by at least 50% of those in the pact or the knowledge of powers is already common knowledge.
3) Will not masquerade as a deity of any kind.
4) Will not reveal the source of our powers until an agreement is reached by at least 50% of those in the pact.
5) Will not intervene in "normal" human conflicts directly without one or both parties being endangered as a direct result or other sufficient justification, defined by an agreement between at least 50% of those in the pact.
6) Will under no circumstances attack the site itself.
7) Will assist humanity where unique assistance is required.

It's still a work in progress, but even at this point I agree. If you desire explanation for a rule, simply ask.

Okay, here's how it works. We do not stop human conflicts, but if a problem arises (say, a comet will impact) and we are the only ones who can help, then we help. As I said, it's still a work in progress, with the first 2-3 being the important ones.

Here are the reasons if any of you are wondering:
1) Obvious; this increases the chances of us getting our powers. Another rule I may add to support this is (though possibly a bit unnecessary) if you every get the opportunity to get your NB powers through any means, you shall do so.
2) We've all seen X-men and similar media where superhumans are discriminated against. However, remember that I never said to not use your powers, but to not reveal your powers (except to us, of course); you could, say, heal a cancer patient, but as long as it doesn't point towards us (i.e. make his/her body slowly fight off the cancer, possibly giving knowledge to save others).
3) It is cruel to get some people to worship you by, say, destroying their homes when they displease you. You'd be allowed to reward them if they pleased you though (as long as you abide by this rule).
4) If everyone knew how we got our powers, then the average Joe would b able to destroy a city with his mind. It render all our hard work to get powers useless, even if we could destroy them easily.
5) If we start helping one party, it's upsetting the natural balance of things, like killing one of two ant colonies. However, an exception would be if there was a clear good/bad side.
6) Our site is where we get our profile powers and communicate, a function I believe it would still perform after our hypothetical empowerment.
7) Humanity is our base species, so it deserves protection. We'd survive their disappearance, but we'd be lonely, as the only remaining humans (if you could call our empowered selves that).

On another note, the start date for New Beginning happens this year -21/12/2012 (or in America, 12/21/2012).

Well, if you wanted to stop any kind of discrimination, the first thing to do would be to simply wander through hospitals healing everyone.

It's hard to call someone an evil abomination after they save a four year old from dying in a car accident, or curing cancer in a mother of three.

I agree with you though that I prefer to get a useful/desired power rather than a dummy power. Luckily, most can be used for both purposes, depending on the circumstances (e.g. turn off Blank when you want to be remembered or need a power boost).

I have an idea for a modification to this rule:
We may reveal our powers to our significant other, but with certain conditions:
1) We must not actually court them with a power (may not be included). However, indirect courtship, such as gaining the courage to ask them is permitted.
2) We must put in measures to ensure that they do not break one of the rules for us.
3) If you break up with them, you must be careful to stop them from revealing the truth, either through agreements or other means, such as Telepathy* or Memory Manipulation.
4) Introduce them to us, so we know who knows about us without using our powers.
5) By agreeing to this section of the pact, you accept that you shall both never harm another user (unless they attack first) or their partner, to prevent continent-destroying battles.
6) Only one such partner at a time.

I believe some will agree with this.

Another rule: No combat among ourselves, since it could result in too much collateral damage (easily reversed, but an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure). Can you imagine WHD and Vespert fighting? Unlikely, but would last for eternity or until they sorted it out with agreements. Meanwhile, we'd all have to focus on containing/reversing the damage they cause.

Sure is better than an apocalypse. I'm already making special contingency plans.

 If it strikes, who'll need a contingency plan? I can just stop time and wing it in hypertime until I get it right. Basically, something like the plans detailed below.

1. Create Celadon and all its adjoining territories, lands, races, species, objects and other facets of mythos. Followed immediately by setting my family and friends in lavish, paradisaical homes of their choosing.

2. Psychically intertwine every event of 'New Beginning' and 'Greetings, from Celadon!' into actual sentient humanoid history, thus also initiating creation of parallel alternate timelines associated with them.

3. Assume control over the internet for every member, ally and neutral of the Superpower List. (Enemies, of course, are banned, and their content--if deemed offensive, ie racist, sexist, homophobic, intolerant of any culture or religion will be archived in a compendium labelled as such)

4. Head home, for tea and numerous game tourneys at yet another awesome, inter-universal NB Party.
