I think they're alright separate; this on is specifically for site glitches and for everyone to take note, while the "To Mods" topic target admins and moderators.

Agreed, The to the mods section would be more for settling the matters the mods have control of rather than technical difficulties that they do not have control of.

GEEZ, LOOOO-WEEEZ, that Over Quota thing is annoying!  Is it just me, or does it seem like it gets earlier every day?  Did the quota decrease, or do we just have more members sucking up all the juice?  It just petered out at 1343 CST.  

Question for the propeller heads (techies) on this site - what would it take to increase the quota to to keep this site up a bit longer?  Would it require more $$$ to Google to purchase a greater capacity?  

BTW - as soon as I win the lottery, this site is goin' full-blown Hollywood.

Yeah, fortunately, it's based on how many hits the site gets a day.

If it actually were at a set time, and that time were getting earlier and earlier, we'd be in trouble.

So long as Justin keeps the thing paid for, there's no reason you can't expect to see it back to normal by tomorrow (Lord willing).

Yeah.  I vented about this on another thread when replying to Wulf about a different topic.  Wasn't sure if there was actually something wrong or if this was just our new reality we have to face.

Is there a way of tracing activity to see if a specific IP address is hogging all the transactions?  I wonder if there might be a ne'er-do-well running a script on a workstation that keeps draining the quota.  

Anyway, as I stated on the other thread, this is the 3rd consecutive day that we exhausted the quota before 12 noon CST.

Up 'till this point, I've never even heard of it happening this soon.

Has the main site been up in the past day?  I checked it at noon (CDT) yesterday and it was down.  I tried it again about 10 minutes ago and it's still down.

I wonder if the lack of quota is caused by an increase of bots crawling through the site to collect data for search engines.

It's just that I know another forum where they list the active users of the day.
And there's around 10 bots that scan the site daily.
