Well it's kind of expected, considering that yes elves live for a seven hundred years or so, but they still advance physically at the same rate as humans, it takes them a hundred years to hit puberty, or more, and their pretty much just as easy to kill as humans.

I was giving a reason for the lack of diversity. More human per populace than mythos in most cases due to a humans relatively excelerated reproductive rate.

Still though, most elves would have an insane amount of time to gain experience in how to do something.

It would be a little scary to fight someone with well over two centuries of sword practice.

Why are you disgusted and suprised by that? Its a fact that there will inevitably be a human that will "love" pretty much any creature you can think of.

The race of the character depends on the desire of the person narrating them. Nothing else. I'm pretty sure there's a vampire that falls in love with an orc, or a succubus that actually stays behind to raise a family with a Giant, but if they don't want to make it, then it won't be a story.
