The gourmand may Paralyze a beast type enemy for consumption later.

The ability to cook beast into a meal that will give anyone who eats it the beasts physical skills until the end of the next battle.
Level Fifteen: Exotic Cookbook II
The ability to cook a beast into a meal that will give anyone who eats it the beasts magical skills until the next battle.

The ultimate combination of cooking and pyromancy, this technique creates a field of fire around Gretchen uniquely suited to roasting an enemy to edible perfection. The fire roasts body and soul, and the spirit of the meal is offered to the god of the Gators in return for a boon.
