Yes.
Here is a map of the world. Each cardinal direction is associated with a different element, with the center being Earth. North is Air, South is Fire, West is Water and East is Wood. Creation is everything on that map. Outside of Creation is utter chaos (Wyld), with a gradual transition the further you go. Fair Folk with a acutal shape dwell between Creation and the Elemental Poles (Which are placed in each direction they're associated with, such as to the far, utter north is the one for Air.) that mark the furthest extent of Creation's reach. Since the aforementioned Elemental Dragons tend to hang out around the Poles, most Fair Folk avoid them. Don't want to get eaten by a Dragon, after all.

...Do you think WE could take on them high-level fellers?

Depends on numbers. Everyone in the setting at once would be a.. very.. challenging fight. Considering one of the most potent beings in the setting is called the Unconquered Sun..

Interesting.
So, since we're in the Games thread, I feel obligated to ask. Are you reading the Evolutionist's Stone? r have you already read it. Or are you in the middle or something?

I'm going to keep babbling about this until I get it out of my system. Also: This.

It is an interesting thought, though.

It's fine. Babble away.
And I'm anxiously anticipating your ending verdict.

Back to the Raksha. Y'Know why they decided to call the Fair Folk that?
They thought that calling them Faeries throughout the book would make it to.. silly. Yes, because calling the beings capable of devouring your emotions and leaving you a hollow shell Faeries or Fae totally reduces them to silly little things. So they used the name Raksha. Anyway, I really want to try to build a Raksha character, just to describe what type of abilities one could possess. Explaining them is.. challenging. They have Five Graces, which correspond to the Four Graces (Compassion, Conviction, Temperance and Valor) and Willpower. The Graces allow them to.. relate.. to a certain degree with the Creation-Born beings. Graces are not only parts of their personality, but also actual objects. The graces are: Heart (Very important it measures their innate "Realness", A Raksha is little more than a slave and plaything to anyone with their Heart Grace. Destroying it kills them.). The Heart Grace looks like a small egg, with an image of the Fair Folk it belongs to inside. It's utterly indestructible so long as the other graces are alright, and no one's stolen it. Cup is associated with Compassion, and represents Desirability. “I can please you… for a price. I can love you… but you must love me more. I can give you everything I have… but know that by doing so, I will only leave you even more unsatisfied.” Ring is associated with Temperance, and represents Purpose. “This is what I do and, thus, who I am… My works will live on after I am gone, and should my works attain perfection, I shall be immortal… My creations reflect my purpose and, therefore, my soul.” Staff is associated with Conviction, and represents Interaction. “We are all part of a whole, whether we like it are not… Our interactions with one another, for good or ill, define the sea of culture in which we raksha must swim… Through our diplomacy, civility and the value of our oaths, we strengthen our unity and degrade our barbarous enemies.” Sword is associated with Valor, and represents Conflict. “Through the strength of my character is my will made manifest… If I am your better, it is fit that you should obey me… If I am your lesser, it is inevitable that I will eventually supplant you.”

They're so...dramatic.

Of course.
A Raksha can't live without some Drama. People with which they have some sort of dramatic connection are.. useful. Mortal lovers, rivals or foes.. they can sacrifice the emotional connection they have with these to save their own skins. With the Charm Writhing Ego Invasion, at least. Let's them sacrifice the emotional connection to something they love, or something they hate in order to avoid damage.

Fascinating.
Do you think we could coordinate a game like that? I mean, not exactly like that, but a story-to-the-power-of-awesome like one of those games I talked about earlier in the thread; we basically play the game by describing our actions. One person serves as the impartial "human dice" or "human spinner" or "human card deck" to determine how a game goes, allowing the other players to play out an internet version of a board game.

Play this game, or play a game inspired by this?

Inspired. I don't want to tussle with things that use gods for hackey-sack, thanks very much.

What would people be playing as? Raksha?

Not sure.
As a matter of fact, we probably should start out with a simple game, first, before we start delving into that kind of game, or something D&D. I recommend maybe something from Gameboy?

Yeah, Exalted is rather complicated.
Any ideas?

Um...not sure.
Is there any board game that comes to your mind? Certainly nothing like Monopoly or Chess. Maybe...um...maybe we can make one up?

We'd need extensive balance testing.
Perhaps the original Final Fantasy?

I've never played the Final Fantasy series, though I've been told it is awesome.
I'll give it a look-see on Wikipedia shortly to find out some more about it.

I've not played the first Final Fantasy, though I have played a few of the successive ones.
