Did the person consciously utilize their subconscious to help her. No, the accomplice didn't use their subconscious at all. Was the nature of her power subconscious? Yes. Conscious? No. Mental? Yes. Emotional? No.

Does she need to know how to play?
Does the superpower give her knowledge or access to it?
Does she cheat thanks to her superpower? Or could she cheat without it?
Is the cheating visible? Can it be discovered?

She could cheat without it, but she and her accomplice would be discovered, quickly. Is the cheating visible? Can it be discovered? The communication with her partner is physically visible (although discreet, otherwise they'd be caught), but their correspondence is not power based. The power is for her alone.

I said something by me.
“…Judge not what a man has done, but judge what he could have done if he was a different bloke altogether. For art thou a leper? And a leper can changeth his spots…” --Rudy Wade, Misfits (Series 4, Episode 8)
Was the communication based on body language? sign language? speech?
Was a device used to communicate?
Without her superpower, would it change the way they cheat?
Does the superpower hide the fact that they're cheating? Or does it allow them to do it more discreetly?
Does the power mask the communication? The power prevents communication, yes. But the question shouldbe asked a bit more specifically than that to get the answer you're looking for.

No, they'd just get caught quicker. Does the superpower hide the fact that they're cheating? Or does it allow them to do it more discreetly? It allows them to cheat more discreetly.

Clairvoyant interpretation? No, that would be too obvious (the words popping out into thin air... ) Besides, I already said the power is not used for their communication.

Is it an illusion power? No. One that subconsciously makes people not recognize the communication? Close. A power that affects the senses? Yes, it blocks communication. HINT: what KIND of communication?

It blocks physical communication? No. Otherwise, they couldn't cheat.

Mental communication? Yes! It prevents mental communication and contact! Vocal communication? No, it doesn't prevent vocal communication. Is it Jargonization? No.
