Elemental Planes RP Comments

Your planet has broken an ancient pack with the elementals, that humanity would not abuse the power of the elementals, and now the colossi of the elemental planes are waging war against humanity. You are part of one of several units created to enter the elemental planes and execute the colossi before they are able to enter reality, because you have absorbed the heart of a dead colossus giving you the forbidden powers of the elementals.

Each unit is made up of a maximum of 10 people, each with one of the unique elements:
Heat (fire/heat)
Frost (Ice/cold)
Energy (Lightning/magnetism/etc)
Liquid (Water/other liquid powers)
Light (holy/normal)
Dark (night/demonic/void/normal)
Earth(ground/minerals/rocks/gravity)
Air (Wind/gases)
Metal (metals/ores/tech/energy absorption)
Growth(Plant (trees,grass,etc) and Animal (Human/body/species) )

This RP is going to work differently in that you can only start off with basic elemental manipulation and with the death of each colossus a new skill is unlocked. With a customization of character after the death of 10 colossi (Unconfirmed). Also contemplating having the ability to upgrade past skills in some way.

I Will create the environment for the section of the elemental plane you are in and the colossus you need to hunt (Suggestions are welcome) but after that you are allowed to take whatever steps (As long as you stay true to the story) to track and kill the colossus. Your characters need to eat (There are both elemental animals and pure elementals filling the settings) and sleep (not as important to write). Also, as of now, your characters should be able to heal themselves of most injuries after (not during, unless a skill is developed) a battle.

Who gets what element will be on a first come first served basis.

I like the idea and will definatly participate as long as some other RPs end first. I will most likely choose earth as my element (no surprise there).

The missions would go something like this. You enter a portal to take you to the colossus nearest to affecting Earth and end up in the current dimension that colossus is inhabiting. From there you need shelter and to collect provisions for food before you begin tracking the colossus down. The elemental planes are basically an infinite labyrinth leading to different elemental worlds/dimensions and yes the planes overlap at points so there could be a water/fire world or some other combination you would visit. The colossus are huge, so think god of war style fighting and taking out weak points to kill them, instead of being able to directly overpower them.

I'm letting you guys determine what other creatures you face on the way to the colossus and what you find to make shelter and food. Don't go instantly finding the colossus and expecting to jump through next portal or we will run out of ideas to fast.

Also for your own powers, you start off with only basic elemental manipulation, but you learn new skills every time a colossus is defeated. This could be anything like: creating a specific weapon, learning how to generate your own element, increasing range of what you can affect in your element (Such as adding sand manipulation to just stone manipulation), flight if you have something like fire or air. You can also learn skills that involve other elements such as fire gaining small earth powers to create lava abilities, but each skill must be connected to your main element in some way. The person with Metal power would also have the easiest time combining its power with other elements.

The idea so far is that at every 5 levels you get a skill plus you can upgrade a previous skill (you can't upgrade the skill you get for level 5 during level 5), and at every 10 levels you would get a skill, an upgrade, and a Physical change relating to your element to your character (Wings, etc.). Anyone have a opinion on how the powers would work yet?

PS. Several of you are picking 2 or more elements. You only get one for the RP so you need to narrow it down so that others can pick after you.

Well, it depends, excactly what is entitled in the elements of light, wind, and darkness respectively.

Well you start out with basics in each 1. Blinding light, small lasers 2. Gusts, quicker movements 3. shadow manipulation, create shadows that can cause physical actions.

Then you can gain skills to do things like 1. Holy powers, lasers, illusions 2. tornadoes, sound (I think sound fits in best with wind), other chemical gases 3. Demonic powers, creating shadow portals between location.

You can also combine your skills with other elements for techniques 1. Light + Fire = Sunlight powers/radiation 2. Wind + Earth = Dust manipulation, sand even maybe 3. Dark + Light = Constellation powers.

But you could only learn one thing after each area.

....SO, I can start out iwth darkness, reach the second level to get the teleportation and demonic powers, then double class in either wind or light to get the first class of their powers. And are the collossus like the giant monsters from the videogame, or do they differ slightly?

by the way does that include shadow weapons?

It would be more like Level 1 is basic skills, 2 you could pick teleportation for darkness (Could be increased for range, and quickness in number of teleports in a certain time later) 3 you could then add some demonic enhancement to it 4 you could then add a skill with another element 5 add another type of trick plus upgrade on of the previous three skills you learned.

So you couldn't get teleportation and demonic power from the same level.

As for colossus there will be all different kinds, the only thing they have to have in common would be size.

Yes for one level you could specialize in say creating a scythe for darkness, but that would be the only upgrade you would get for that level.

So just weapons an tools in general formed from darkness can't be done for jsut one level then?

If you're meaning like creating a simple shadow sword without much special that could be done from level one.

You could do a level though to specialize in a weapon though, or even a level to create a stronger specific weapon such as a bone scythe that would be stronger than a shadow scythe you could create from level one.

Fair enough so, but I think the sight might be overloaded on RP at this point, I think that we've already got another three in the works counting your and my new ones.
