There are some overlapping powers that both disciplines can choose from.  Plus, if you want to burn a feat, you can choose a power from a different discipline's list.  

More on that as we start fleshing out class details and basic rules.

Burn a feat? As in, forego it, in place of another?

So will we be trusting each other to roll stats on our own or shall we each start with a set of points to distribute evenly amongst stats. I've seen it done both ways, but I was just wondering.

I'm afraid I can't find anything that would allow you to wildshape into elementals or huge creatures sooner than level 16/15. (Well, besides the rather broken Planar Shepard class, which would let you do that at about level 14).

So, I found this prestige class, which you could take following level five, and it would allow you to shift into a larger number of things. Keep in mind, however, that it does not advance spellcasting, number of wildshapes, or any of the Druid's other class features, but if you reallly, realllly, want to. If you wanted to take some other shape-shifter based PrCs, there's the Warshaper (Also doesn't advance Druid class features) or Nature's Warrior.(Half spellcasting, but stacks for wildshaping purposes).

You can select a feat at level one (And you get a bonus feat at level one if you are a human), and you may select another at level three, and another every three levels after that.

So you'd be picking Expanded Knowledge (The feat that allows you to select a normally restricted power) instead of anything else you could take.

How gimped would my other stuff become if I took that?

So, at level one, I would have no abilities at all to start, except that?

No, you'd also have whatever abilities your class gave.


Which might not still keep you from being slaughtered. Level one is a difficult time, where it's possible to have characters with single digit hit points.

Wild Shape is generally really good, so I would say not really.

As I recall, we're doing a roll 4d6 for each stat, reroll ones.

I wouldn't mind, I just don't want to do this on my lonesome, because I know I'll run out of steam by myself.
