I meant it as the shapes would be the shields, such as a sphere around me, or a lens in front of me to deflect attacks.

Bug still has the psychiatrist thing, but you could probably just have it after the time skip, as in him going to his last meeting.

I'm not so sure about flame weapons...that's pretty advanced magic. You can have one ring to store magic and yes you can have a mouse familiar.
