Well, I'd guess she was Asian as well (and not because she has admitted to such beforehand). If I had no knowledge beforehand of her ethnicity, I'd say she was either Japanese (or some other Asian), or white, with a thing for Asian culture. Nearly all her characters have Japanese names/abilities.

The Kethencian College of Magic resides in the beautiful city of Kethencia. Kethencia is a massive city populated by many fantasy races such as elfs, dwarfs, Stonemen, kitsune, goblins, saytrs, Slendermen, Dwemer, and others. However, the main population of Kethencia is made up of Sentient clockwork beings. These clockwork beings are the original inhabitants of Kethencia and have resided there ever since Kethencia was created out of amber, crystal and glass.

Since it's creation, Kethencia has grown to become an universal crossroads. It has traffic from millions of different realms pass through its streets. It has hundreds of shops for almost anything you can imagine.
