As the children were ushered into the Magic Testing Room by Violet, Dryad turned to Aurum and said, "It just sunk in. How bad is your training?"
"If by bad, you mean difficulty," said Aurum. "Then, it's as hard as it can ever get for training."
At Aurum's wicked grin, Dryad started to back away but bumped into someone behind her. She turned around and found another Aurum!
"How did you do that?" asked Dryad in surprise.
"It's the spell called 'Duplication.' Aurum loves it," explained Chloé.
"Yeah, she'd often play around with all of us who joined the guild as kids," agreed another person.
He raised a tanned hand and said, "Hello, Aura. How're you doing?"
"Heh, no one's seen you in a while, Joseph," said Chloé as she slapped him on the back.
Joseph collapsed and started coughing. As he did so, various metallic items in his plaid shirt klinked and a few daggers and lockpicks fell out.
"Joseph!" cried Aurum. "I thought I taught you a lockpicking spell so that you wouldn't have to use those things!"
"Don't worry, Aurum," said Joseph as he was still gasping for air. "I still remember that spell and I use it whenever I can't pick a lock with lockpicks."
"Good," replied Aurum. "Let's see... How should I start your training, Dryad? Easy, medium or hard? Ah, such hard decisions to make."
"Don't worry about the training, Dryad," said the guildmaster. "It shouldn't be too hard."
"Has anyone in here taken training with Aurum?"
"No, but why does that... Ah, I see your point. You'll have to let us know how bad it is. We'll be rooting for you to pass the training."
"Coward."
"Don't care so long as I don't have to go through it myself."
Violet came out of the Magic Training Room and all eyes turned to her. She said, "Don't worry, they're taking their tests. Last I saw they had gotten past the intelligence parts of the test. They should be fine."
