Case Files of the Strange

Throughout the decades strange things have happened in every corner of the globe. These cases have been documented and investigated to little effect by dozens of different agencies and organizations. I'm sending out this message in hopes that we may pool our resources together to gain a better understanding of the vast amount of events like the ones I have investigated.

Please as Agents, Scientists and Persons of Interest I ask that you provide any Cases or Information you can about these events. I've included three cases I have investigated personally. Any other case files you can provide will add more points to this web.

Case File: STR-21
Date: April 2, 2013
Location: Dallas, TX

At 2 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, the downtown office of Smith and Wright, at 501 Schwarzs Ave., collapsed in on itself killing the 213 employees inside as it sunk into the sewer systems below street level. The cause of the collapse was determined to be a simultaneous failure of 27 of the steel structural supports beneath the building. Upon further investigation into the cause of the structural failure, it was discovered that all 27 steel support beams were missing entirely. There was no evidence of tool marks near the beams location, nor was there any scheduled maintenance. At 4:46 pm the same day a call was received of a local disturbance in a residential area 30 miles away from a Sarah Kilmore. She was calling to complain about 27 steel beams that had appeared in her yard, half buried in the ground.

Case File: SUC-45
Date: July 13, 2010
Location: Hobart, OK

At 5:06pm on July 13, 2010 the car of Dr. Martin Crastast’s Silver Subaru Outback was involved in a head-on collision with the pylons outside a local grocery store. 911 was called immediately by a concerned bystander. Upon investigation it was discovered that nobody had been in the car when it crashed. Bystanders reported seeing nobody exit or enter the car after it crashed. Traffic cams were reviewed on site as protocol dictated. Dr. Crastast was seen in the car minutes before it crashed by a traffic camera across the street. Operatives on site immediately began to organize a block by block sweep for the missing driver who they assumed had jumped out of the car before it crashed. However before the sweep began, at exactly 6:06, one hour after the crash, Dr. Crastast suddenly and inexplicably crashed through the front windshield of his stationary car and collided with the pavement as though he had experienced the crash.  He was incoherent from the pain of his injuries and managed only to scream “Stjerne” before he was taken to a hospital. He died shortly thereafter from his injuries.

Case File: SUI-76

In recent headlines a group of students who had been partying at Michigan Lake were found dead from asphyxiation. All the victims showed signs of bleeding from the ears. The case was labled as a mass suicide by drowing. A tape was found in the portable boom box nearby, that bore a unknown symbol. They police officers in charge of listening to the tape for its contents were found dead in evidence lockup a day later. They had suffocated.

A tower was discovered in the wastes of the Abu Khali desert, extending upward thirty meters into the air. When samples were taken of this tower it abruptly pulled itself back into the sand.

When analyzed, it was determined the samples had come from a human eyelash.

Just yesterday, divers discovered a pile of human bones just 3 kilometres east of the Great Barrier Reef. A total of 9 complete skeletons have been reconstructed so far, and still more bones are being collected. Certain bones were also found with large bites taken out of them, much different to any shark or whale alive today. Next to the bodies, divers also found a pile of 11 oxygen tanks, though it is unknown whether any of the victims were divers themselves, as DNA and dental record information is still being gathered.

What's more, another humanoid skeleton was found next to the site, however these bones do not appear to be human. Instead, the bones are lighter, the femur is much longer, the cranium in extended, the feet appear to be specialised fins and they have lower jaws with long fangs. Forensic scientists have managed to match the teeth and jaws to the human victims' injuries, and yet the inhuman creature appears to have suffered the same bites. Whatever or whoever this creature is, it appears to be hungry for both humans and its own kind. The creature has not shown itself since, but the area will be under close surveillance until further notice.

Jun 25, 2013, Melbourne, Australia:
Cars coming from a new production plant in central Melbourne were always deemed a tad strange, due to the high rate of production despite lack of observed resupply, power use or employment of staff. However, when the cars began to all fail within months of purchase, began emitting a foul odour (particularly after prolonged sunlight exposure) combined with several disappearances around town, investigators were called in. Kept out by unseen force, investigators from an organisation named "The Triad" came to investigate.

After leaving the premises, they nonchalantly recorded the factory's use of human bodily tissues and fluids to create the cars through a process not revealed to public investigators. Process was reported to disassemble live humans slowly to construct the vehicles, then allow the rest of the remains to die slowly. No anesthetic in process was reported. The organisation "The Triad" is yet to be identified.

April 3, 2011, Sydney, Australia:
Caucasion male was hospitalised due to the first recorded case of smallpox since the 1980's. Teeth were decayed, his skin bore evidence of smallpox infection for prolonged time, was paralysed from the waist down, had antibodies to leprosy, polio and smallpox in blood, had evidence of prior bubonic plague infection, had ribcage damage associated with pertussus, Age was impossible to determine due to lack of cooperation and lack of records of any kind, but was believed to be approximately 30, though nature of location indicated that he was trapped during the 1800's at latest.

Subject was found trapped in tunnels under the city during excavations, starving to death slowly. Subject was unconscious at time, but awoke screaming in hospital, rambling incoherently to "put [him] out of [his] misery" and that "[he] has been burdened by smallpox since the 1500's". Due to nature he was found in, statements are impossible to prove right or wrong. Subject remains in medically-induced coma at time of writing.

Individuals in immediate area as well as investigators and medical staff vaccinated against smallpox to prevent resurgence of disease. Upon returning to question medical staff, all involved were suffering memory loss specific to the event, with false memories in their place.

I was the first other person to see this thread and decided to present some ideas. They're sort of made up on the spot and sorry if they're too SCP-like.

Try being more vague with them. Its creepier if it's not entirely explained.

I'm riding on the fridge horror factor here. It's intended to be creepy upon mental dissection. I must admit though, the second was closer to achieving the desired effect.

That said, thanks for the advice.

Case File: LUC-1F3R
Date: June 1, 1991
Location: St. Augustine, FL

At 8 pm on Thursday, June 1, 1991, the local 911 dispatch received calls from thirteen 13-year-old females, at the same time. Each claims to see a mysterious shadowy figure standing outside their bedroom window, in the street. During the last 13 seconds, each caller claims that the outside of their windows seem to have been completely blacked out, and sounds as though fearing for their lives, claiming darkness is seeping into their room. A scream punctuates the end of each call, at exactly 1 minute and 11 seconds (66.6 seconds). And yet, while each responding dispatcher can confirm the existence of the tapes, on rewinding said tapes to review them, they are almost entirely blank. All that remains to be heard is the last 13 seconds, in which fearful urgency is replaced by what sounds vaguely like the distorted laughter of a very deep voice.

When the numbers are traced back, each caller's house is discovered to have been destroyed in a fire, of unexplained origin.

Date: December 26, 2010
Location: Pittsburgh, PA

At 10am on Wednesday, December 26, 2010, workers at the local Toys R Us report that, on arriving to open up their store for the day, discovered that the front doors were already unlocked, yet no alarms were sounding. So, with the manager leading the way, the employees went in, slowly and with great caution and checked every aisle. When they reached the stocking room in the rear of the building, they heard the clattering of what sounded like Legos. The manager opened the door, and there before him stood one of the young male employees, who had called in sick a day earlier; he stood in the midst of the Legos stark naked, with a butcher knife, crying and looking terrified. He had taken parts from various Lego sets, and built a very realistic three-foot-tall tower. Though, before the manager could advance to ask what was the matter, or offer help, the young man's fear turned to anger, and he gestured to the tower, calling out, "Babel rises again! Ave Luciferi!". He then plunged the butcher knife into his chest, and collapsed into the Legos.

He was known by staff to be an atheist, believing in neither God nor the Devil, and having no dealings with matters of religion or the occult.
