I see minor technicalities with that idea.:
1) You originate in space, not magic.
2) You appear to be sustained by a strange type of metabolism, not magic.
3) You have powers which are not easily attributed to your physical composition/form.
4) You are independently intelligent, unlike a golem who obeys the thrall of it's master/s, is bestial or in my case, is just a shapeshifted form of something else.
5) You are composed of quartz, while a golem is just a mashed-together pile of materials.

See? I'm different.
